The SEC Reporting Director is a finance leader responsible for driving the preparation and filing of SEC reports while ensuring
compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control requirements. This role serves as a subject matter expert on
complex reporting issues. This position will report to the Director of Financial Reporting and Policy within the Controllership
team. The position requires a high level of collaboration, working cross-functionally with Controllership, Finance, Legal,
Investor Relations, the Business and external partners (auditors) to support accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
The candidate will combine this with exceptional soft skills necessary to be successful in this role including: being able to
manage through ambiguity; executing against tight deadlines; maintaining strong relationships with finance and business partners;
and able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SEC reporting and
technical accounting, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
A key priority for this role will be driving the modernization of our financial reporting ecosystem. As a leader in a fast-paced
fintech environment, the Director will be expected to champion the adoption of automation, data-lineage tools, and AI-driven
capabilities. You will look beyond legacy spreadsheet processes to streamline the reporting lifecycle, accelerate the
close-to-report timeline, and enhance disclosure quality through technology.

The role will support the accounting lifecycle for crypto-related activity, including month-end close, subledger review, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, control execution, audit support, and documentation of key accounting processes. What you'll do: * Prepare complete and easy to follow workpapers explaining issue, procedures and conclusion * Review crypto subledger activity and supporting transaction-level detail to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriate accounting treatment * Investigate reconciliation differences, escalate issues timely, and partner with Crypto Operations and other cross-functional teams to resolve variances * Coordinate with the Crypto Operations team to understand operational workflows, transaction lifecycle events, exception handling, and settlement or custody-related impacts on accounting * Assist in the monthly and year-end close processes as well as assisting with year-end annual audit * Analyze accounts, journal entries, subsidiary ledgers, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness * Identify issues and work with senior team members to produce an effective execution approach * Perform analytical review of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement * Support enhancement and documentation of crypto accounting processes, controls, reconciliations, and policies * Prepare or assist in the preparation of reports for management, external auditors, and other stakeholders * Prepare or assist in developing and preparing analytical and statistical reports to drive leadership decision-making * Perform ad-hoc reports and analyses upon request * Prepare supporting schedules and financial statement tie-outs for SEC disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis under public company accounting standards * Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the finance organization to assist with other reporting requirements, including subsidiary, statutory, and bank reporting, as necessary What you will need: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent * Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures * Strong organizational, analytical, mathematical, and project management * A forward-thinking and hands-on approach * A desire to learn * Proactive and self-driven with the ability to think creatively within a flexible environment * Strong knowledge of accounting theory and practice * Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and general ledger systems * Knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, and mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios Nice to have: * Experience with Workday Financials * CPA certification is a plus * Audit experience * Experience with digital assets, brokerage, payments, banking, or fintech accounting Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. The Role We’re hiring a Senior Director of Technical Accounting to build and scale a best-in-class financial reporting function. You’ll sit close to Finance leadership and operate at the center of our most complex accounting, reporting, and disclosure decisions—turning technical complexity into clear, audit-ready output. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role with real ownership. You’ll set the direction for technical accounting and external reporting, partner closely with cross-functional leaders, and help define how financial information is prepared, reviewed, and communicated as the company scales. WHAT YOU'LL DO You’ll work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations to lead high-quality financial reporting and build scalable, repeatable processes.
