Du kommer även bidra med att ta fram olika typer av material till intranätet som exempelvis artiklar och intervjuer med syfte att inspirera andra studenter att åka utomlands på utbyte/praktik. Som Erasmusambassadör ansvarar du, eventuellt tillsammans med ytterligare en student, för podcasten Go International som du också är programledare för. We are looking for a Doctoral student in Complex Mobility Systems. The position is part of a Swedish Research Council-funded project developing dynamic synthetic populations and mobility digital twins for resilient and equitable transport planning. The project combines agent-based modelling, large-scale mobility data, transport networks, generative modelling, resilience indicators, and equity analysis. The project develops next-generation synthetic populations that are dynamic, scenario-conditioned and suitable for stress-testing mobility systems under disruptions. The work combines mobile phone data, census and urban data, activity-based and agent-based modelling, generative sequence models, transport networks, digital twins, resilience indicators and equity-sensitive analysis. The project explicitly seeks to move beyond static “average-day” demand modelling towards dynamic, behaviourally rich and policy-relevant simulations of how different groups adapt under changing conditions. The project is carried out in collaboration withthe department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU, Denmark) and Universidad del Desarrollo / ISI Foundation (Chile/Italy), contributing expertise in human mobility modelling, resilience science, and empirical disruption analysis using large-scale mobile phone data from Chile. About us The Doctoral student position is placed at the Division of Computational Mechanics and Materials Engineering, which belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. The Doctoral student will develop an advanced global–local modelling approach that captures how individual and interacting defects influence structural performance. By combining high-fidelity simulations with experimental testing of lab-scale components, our research will generate new data, validate predictive models, and establish improved defect acceptance criteria. The outcome will be a practical, industry-ready methodology that enables safer, more cost-efficient decisions when dealing with defects in composite components. The project will involve collaborations and secondments (in total 8 months during the first three years) at University of Kore (2 months) and Leonardo S.p.A. (6 months) in Italy. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in Complex Mobility Systems. The position is part of a Formas-funded project developing dynamic synthetic populations and mobility digital twins for resilient and equitable transport planning. The project combines agent-based modelling, large-scale mobility data, transport networks, generative modelling, resilience indicators, and equity analysis. Avdelningen för internationell mobilitet är en avdelning vid Uppsala universitets universitetsförvaltning. I fokus för verksamheten vid avdelningen står att aktivt bidra till internationaliseringsarbetet vid Uppsala universitet. Genom dagliga och nära kontakter med universitetets lärare, forskare och studenter samt med samarbetspartners runt om i världen skapas förutsättningar för strategiska och fördjupade internationella samarbeten. Vi söker nu en engagerad och ansvarsfull handläggare till enheten för internationellt mobilitetsstöd som vill vara med och bidra till internationaliseringsarbetet vid Uppsala universitet med särskilt fokus på utbytesstudier. Arbetsuppgifter: Som internationell handläggare ansvarar du för hanteringen av universitetsgemensamma studentutbytesprogram med Uppsala universitets samarbetspartners i världen. Tjänstens huvudsakliga innehåll är mobilitetshandläggning av in- och utresande utbytesstudenter. Detta innebär löpande information till och urval av utbytesstudenter samt kontakt med utländska universitet som Uppsala universitet har studentutbytesavtal med. Det löpande arbetet sker framför allt i databasen MoveON. I tjänsten ingår viss representation av verksamheten vid olika utländska besök samt vissa utåtriktade aktiviteter i form av informationsinsatser som att hålla presentationer samt delta vid mässor och besök etc. Kvalifikationskrav: Akademisk examen minst kandidatnivå eller motsvarande. Minst två (2) års dokumenterad aktuell erfarenhet av kvalificerad administrativ handläggning med självständigt ansvar för ärenden, företrädesvis inom högskolesektorn eller annan statlig myndighet. Erfarenhet av arbete i CRM-system kopplade till studentmobilitet (t.ex. MoveON, Mobility-Online eller SoleMove) samt i förvaltningsnära system såsom Ladok, W3D3, Akka eller Easit. Mycket goda kunskaper i Microsoft Office, särskilt Excel. Mycket god förmåga att uttrycka sig i tal och skrift på svenska och engelska, samt god kommunikativ förmåga att anpassa budskap till olika målgrupper i det dagliga arbetet. Förmåga att uttrycka sig väl i tal och skrift i ytterligare åtminstone ett för verksamheten relevant språk (ex. tyska, franska eller spanska) Stor vikt kommer att läggas vid personlig lämplighet. Du är bra på att samarbeta och tar ofta initiativ till samarbeten. Du har en servicekänsla och bidrar till att värna om såväl det goda individuella mötet som helheten. Du arbetar strukturerat och levererar i tid, och med hög kvalitet. För anställningen krävs att du kan arbeta efter välbeprövade processer samtidigt som du tillsammans med dina kollegor, uppmuntras att identifiera förbättringspotential. Önskvärt/meriterande i övrigt: Erfarenhet från studier eller arbete i annat land än Sverige. God kännedom om Uppsala universitet och dess organisation och utbildningar.
