Delivery Leadership * Oversee technical delivery across global, cross-functional teams delivering enterprise Shopify Plus solutions, ensuring quality, performance, and client satisfaction at scale. * Establish governance frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and delivery KPIs tailored to the pace and complexity of commerce platform engagements. - * Act as a technical escalation point and actively unblock delivery teams, modeling the kind of senior leadership and decisiveness the practice requires. * Build, retain, and develop a high-performing team of Shopify architects, engineers, and solution leads—setting clear expectations, creating growth paths, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Sales Engagement & Client Partnership * Own the technical narrative in the sales process: participate actively in discovery, solutioning, estimation, architecture design, and proposal development for Shopify Plus pursuits. * Partner closely with business development and account teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing Shopify Plus engagements. * Serve as a credible, senior technical voice in client-facing conversations—building trust, managing expectations, and positioning our practice as a strategic partner, not just a vendor. * Maintain and deepen relationships with Shopify’s partner and alliance teams, ensuring we are positioned for early access to new programs, beta capabilities, and co-sell opportunities. Practice Development & Talent Growth * Mentor and coach Shopify architects, technical leads, and engineers across regions—actively investing in their growth and career trajectories. * Drive Shopify-specific certification and enablement programs (e.g., Shopify Partner certifications, Shopify Developer certifications) and build learning paths that keep the team at the forefront of platform innovation. * Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, solution playbooks, case studies, and reusable architecture assets that accelerate delivery and sales across the practice. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Utilization Optimization: Maintain or improve team utilization rates across all Shopify Plus engagements, targeting 70%+ blended team utilization. * Certification Growth: Drive 100% of the practice team to hold at least one Shopify Partner or Developer certification within 12 months. * Solution Quality: Ensure architectural integrity, scalability, and maintainability across all delivered Shopify Plus solutions—measured by client satisfaction scores and post-launch performance benchmarks. * Sales Pipeline Contribution: Actively participate in pursuits contributing to at least $8M in unweighted Shopify Commerce pipeline annually, with a target of closing $3M+ in new logos or significant expansions. * Individual Billability: Maintain a minimum of 50% individual billable utilization, balanced against the practice-building and sales activities inherent to this role. * Team Retention & Growth: Achieve 85%+ retention within the practice and maintain a pipeline of at least two internal candidates ready for promotion annually. MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership within a consulting, systems integration, or agency environment—with at least 3–4 years specifically in Shopify Plus or a comparable enterprise commerce platform. * Deep, hands-on expertise in the Shopify Plus platform: Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, Markets Pro, B2B, headless/composable commerce architectures, and the Shopify app ecosystem. * Strong command of the enterprise commerce technology stack surrounding Shopify Plus—including ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), enterprise search (Elasticsearch, Algolia), CDPs (Segment, mParticle, Salesforce Data Cloud), PIM, OMS, and payment platforms. * Proven track record of participating in or leading sales pursuits, proposals, and client-facing solutioning conversations—comfortable owning a technical narrative in a competitive deal. * Experience building, leading, and growing distributed technical teams—hiring, mentoring, retaining senior talent, and creating cultures of technical excellence. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to operate fluently across executive, technical, and commercial audiences. WHAT YOU’LL DO As the Administrative Coordinator program and team grow, you'll find ways to successfully build processes and systems for scale, manage hiring practices that maintain the Stripe talent bar, and manage individual contributors across multiple regions. The European Spallation Source (ESS) is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today. It will provide researchers with unique opportunities to explore the structure of materials at the atomic level. Neutron scattering at ESS will address critical questions in physics, chemistry, geology, materials science and life science. We are now looking for an Instrument Scientist for the HEIMDAL powder diffractometer. The position is with the Diffraction & Imaging Division. About the division The Diffraction & Imaging Division consists of the scientific staff that are leading the instrument construction projects and the staff that will eventually execute the day-to-day operations of six neutron instruments. The upcoming responsibilities of the division are Finalize the installation and commissioning of all instruments in the division Deliver state-of-the-art scientific capabilities for internal and external users to enable the wider science community to advance science and technology Deliver scientific results from the neutron instruments in collaboration with the user community and other divisions in the science directorate Plan and implement further developments and upgrades of the instruments Push the state-of-the-art capabilities of neutron instrumentation to make maximum benefit from the ESS source. Main Responsibilities HEIMDAL is a multiscale diffractometer that, in its full scope, will enable studies of functional materials across a wide range of length scales, from conventional powder diffraction to the small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) regime (possible future upgrade). The construction of the diffractometer part of the instrument is ongoing and expected to be completed in 2027. The immediate mission is to finalize the installation of the instrument and take part in the commissioning of the instrument without and with neutrons. The instrument scientist will work closely with the core instrument team at ESS, comprising another instrument scientist, an instrument computational scientist, and an instrument operational engineer, and in strong interaction with partner institutions and ESS technical services. The successful candidate must be active in a scientific field of direct relevance to HEIMDAL. The European Spallation Source (ESS) is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today. It will provide researchers with unique opportunities to explore the structure of materials at the atomic level. Neutron scattering at ESS will address critical questions in physics, chemistry, geology, materials science and life science. We are now looking for an Instrument Scientist for the DREAM powder diffractometer. The position is with the Diffraction & Imaging Division. About the division The Diffraction & Imaging Division consists of the scientific staff that are leading the instrument construction projects and the staff that will eventually execute the day-to-day operations of six neutron instruments. The upcoming responsibilities of the division are Finalize the installation and commissioning of all instruments in the division Deliver state-of-the-art scientific capabilities for internal and external users to enable the wider science community to advance science and technology Deliver scientific results from the neutron instruments in collaboration with the user community and other divisions in the science directorate Plan and implement further developments and upgrades of the instruments Push the state-of-the-art capabilities of neutron instrumentation to make maximum benefit from the ESS source. Main Responsibilities The DREAM instrument is a neutron powder diffractometer that offers great flexibility for crystal and magnetic structure studies of ordered and disordered materials. The construction of the instrument is completed. The immediate mission is to commission the instrument with neutrons. Commissioning with neutrons is expected to begin in 2027 and continue through 2028, after which the instrument will transition into operation within the ESS user programme. The instrument scientist will work closely with the core instrument team at ESS, comprising another instrument scientist, an instrument computational scientist, and an instrument operational engineer, and in strong interaction with partner institutions and ESS technical services. The successful candidate must be active in a scientific field of direct relevance to DREAM. Essential qualifications and experience: PhD in experimental studies in the physical sciences relevant to the DREAM scientific programme, preferably in energy or nanoscaled materials. Practical experience in neutron powder diffraction Working knowledge of the data analysis for diffraction software GSAS-II, TOPAS, FullProf, Jana2006, PDFgui Evidence of an independent research profile in relevant science areas supported by a publication record Ability to work collaboratively and individually Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to interact effectively with staff and users at all levels.
