At Aimpoint, we are looking for a motivated Engineering Manager to lead our Advanced and System Verification Engineering team. If you have extensive experience in systems engineering or related disciplines and want to apply both your leadership and technical expertise, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Your Role As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team covering systems engineering, optics, sensor technology, ballistics, test and verification, and technical documentation. You will play a key role in strengthening our systems engineering capability and ensuring we deliver world-class products and innovation. The role combines strategic responsibilities with hands-on support to the team. Your Responsibilities · Lead, inspire, coach and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team. · Provide strategic and technical leadership within your teams responsible areas. · Own the systems engineering framework, methods, and governance, ensuring alignment with recognized standards and best practices. · Secure effective collaboration and interfaces between systems engineering, product development, and verification activities across these domains. · Support the agile team by promoting collaboration across disciplines, and support our Product Owners with the right resources and continuous improvements in how we work. · Ensure that engineers within your team deliver high-quality solutions in all projects. · Contribute to the company’s strategic goals by increasing efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. · Serve as a role model and create an inclusive work culture focused on equality, diversity, and collaboration. Who We Are Looking For We are searching for an experienced leader who is equally passionate about technology and people. Skills and Experience · At least 5 years of professional experience within systems engineering from military sector, working with framework such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, FMV:s Handbok Systemsäkerhet (H SystSäk 2022), MIL-STD-882E and IPS (Integrated Product support) /ILS (Integrated Logistic Support). · Previous experience working as a manager within systems engineering, senior system architect, senior project leader or similar with leadership responsibilities. · Had an overall responsibility for establishing and governing advanced, integrated systems across a system of systems landscape. · Knowledge of agile methods, such as Scrum or Kanban, and a commitment to fostering flexibility and innovation. · A strong ability to create structure and build teams in a dynamic work environment. · Experience in working with sustainable system solutions. · Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills both internally and externally. As Engineering Manager, Internationalization & Translation, you will lead a small, high-impact engineering team responsible for driving Toast’s internationalization strategy and product translation across R&D. You should be comfortable understanding the needs of internal engineering customers, building mechanisms that scale, and creating clarity in a space where success depends on both technical systems and organizational adoption. A day in the life (Responsibilities) * Lead the technical vision and execution for Toast’s internationalization and translation platform, driving business impact across the customer lifecycle by providing a multi-lingual product. * Define and drive the technical and operational strategy for scalable product translation across Toast R&D, covering 100s of repo’s and systems. * Bring AI first approach to reducing manual effort, improving translation workflows, accelerating issue resolution, and increasing operational leverage. * Establish and evangelize internationalization best practices across engineering, including patterns for locale-aware product development, translation readiness, quality, testing, release workflows, and maintainability. * Build outcome-oriented operating mechanisms, including metrics and monitoring, that help teams adhere to i18n practices, track translation quality and adoption, detect gaps early, and resolve issues quickly when they arise. * Coach and mentor engineers, helping them grow technically and as leaders. * Operate effectively in a fast moving environment where experimentation, iteration, and platform stability must coexist. What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) * 3+ years of experience leading high performing engineering teams, with experience of  platform teams or teams where internal developers were the primary consumer or end user. * Solid background in modern web architecture, including component libraries, build systems, CI CD, and developer tooling. * A process-driven approach to engineering leadership, with experience creating operating mechanisms, metrics, monitoring, and feedback loops that improve outcomes over time. * Demonstrated success partnering with product stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes. * Ability to translate broad strategic goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans. * Solid  communication and leadership skills with experience influencing senior technical and product leaders. * Track record of mentoring engineers and building inclusive, high ownership teams.
