ABOUT THE ROLE We are hiring an Entrepreneur in Residence to work directly with our CTO. You will take ownership of important, loosely defined problems and deliver results. Your initial focus will be customer integrations and solution engineering. You will lead strategic customer initiatives, translate recurring needs into product direction, and help reduce the time our CTO spends on solution scoping. As you prove ownership, your scope can expand into product discovery, internal engineering, or AI adoption. This is a hands-on role. You will build, investigate, make decisions, and follow through. It is not a support or project-management position. WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead strategic customer initiatives Own important customer engagements from discovery through delivery. Join technical conversations, clarify requirements, and act as the CTO’s delegate where agreed. Turn recurring customer needs into clear input for the product roadmap. Drive product and technical discovery Turn open questions into specifications and prototypes. Evaluate whether we should build, buy, or integrate. Research technical options and recommend a clear course of action. Improve how our engineers work Remove friction from onboarding, permissions, tooling, and internal infrastructure. Build secure, self-service workflows that help engineers work effectively. Lead practical AI adoption Test new AI tools and workflows across Finto. Measure whether they improve speed or quality, train the team on useful applications, and introduce appropriate guardrails. Your priorities will change as the company changes. One week you may scope an ERP integration. The next, you may prototype a product idea or improve an internal workflow. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * You have built something from scratch and taken responsibility for the outcome. * You are comfortable working through ambiguity without waiting for detailed instructions. * You can understand software architecture, build prototypes, and work with modern AI and LLM tools. * You are familiar with Node.js, TypeScript, and integration-heavy systems. * You have worked at startup speed, whether as a founder, early engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or in a Founder’s Office or Chief of Staff role. * You communicate clearly in German and English. * You want to take on more responsibility as you grow. Experience with ERP integrations, fintech, developer tooling, or customer-facing technical work is helpful but not required. WORKING AT FINTO * Work with the founders on problems that directly affect customers and the company. * Take ownership early. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a (Senior) Product Engineer to join our team, focused on building and optimizing the next generation of AI-powered enterprise finance tools. As part of the founding engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our platform and helping some of the world’s largest companies eliminate their manual accounting work. You’ll work side-by-side with our founders to turn ideas into high-performing, elegant features that slot seamlessly into our customers’ existing processes. Your work will directly define how finance teams experience AI automation - in real life, at scale. We’re headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Build and enhance AI-powered automation tools for invoice processing, ERP integration, and complete accounting workflows. * Architect performant, scalable, and reliable solutions for mission-critical finance operations. * Optimize and refine AI models for accuracy, speed, and usability in real-world scenarios. * Deliver exceptional user experiences through thoughtful UI/UX design, using frameworks like React, Node. * Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, Web, ERP technology, and automation - and bring the best of them into our platform. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges, ensuring our AI-powered workflows run reliably at scale. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 3–5+ years in full-stack development, ideally building AI-powered or enterprise-focused products. * Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with experience in React and Next.js. * Backend expertise in Node.js or comparable languages like Python or Go, with a focus on scalable APIs and AI-driven services. * Hands-on experience with AI models and APIs * A builder’s mindset - passionate about developer experience and how AI can enhance productivity. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in fast-moving, collaborative environments. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a founding Solution Engineer to join our founding team and lead the adoption of Finto’s AI-powered automation for some of the world’s largest enterprises. You’ll be the trusted partner guiding finance teams through onboarding, integration, and - most importantly - putting AI directly into their hands so they can radically reduce manual work and unlock new levels of productivity. This is not a typical customer success role - its a technical, customer-facing role. You’ll focus on the time to value including data-set-up, workflow design, and change management. You’ll work closely with our founders to make sure customers embrace AI as a core part of their daily job. We’re headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead enterprise customers from contract signature through full-scale adoption, ensuring successful rollout and long-term expansion. * Work directly with finance teams to redesign critical processes, embedding AI where it creates the most business value. * Partner closely with customers to deeply understand their ERP environment, data structures, accounting workflows, and success metrics. * Serve as the bridge between customers and our engineering team - gathering requirements, translating feedback into product insights, and surfacing unmet needs. * Analyze AI performance using evals, with a strong affinity for SQL and working with complex, real-world customer data * Build playbooks, onboarding frameworks, and training materials to create a scalable foundation for customer success WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 2-3+ years in solution engineering, consulting, or forward deployed engineering with enterprise customers. * Experience driving adoption of complex software, ideally AI-powered or automation platforms. Familiarity with finance operations, APIs, ERP systems, or accounting workflows is a strong plus. * Exceptional communication skills - able to train, inspire, and win over buyers, key users, IT leaders and your team members * Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and help teams adopt new ways of working * Hands-on problem-solver with a proactive, can-do approach. * Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments with high autonomy. * Passion for making AI a practical, everyday tool for real people.
