🌎 WHAT WE DO WE BUILD SOFTWARE TO ENABLE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE SUPPLY CHAINS. ~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance, which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help - to make processes in the day-to-day more efficient, connect farmers better to their partners and thus, enable action in supply chains. We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early stage tech team in Europe. Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger. 🔭 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR MISSION Build on top of Europe's #1 primary data collection platform and bring it to new heights - new markets, new commodities, ready for action. You will own our core product line end-to-end. Today it is the leading platform in Europe for collecting farm-level data at scale. Tomorrow it needs to be the foundation that powers the next decade of agricultural decarbonization. That means making the product ready for action, expanding into new commodities, and bringing it to new geographies across Europe. WHAT YOUR JOB WILL LOOK LIKE: * Own the product line end-to-end. From discovery to delivery to ongoing maintenance. You decide what gets built, when, and why. * Lead an engineering and design squad. Set the pace, manage tradeoffs, keep the team focused on what matters. Routines, rituals, prioritization - that is on you. * Prioritize across competing demands. Customer escalations, internal stakeholder asks, methodology updates, expansion bets. You will rarely have enough capacity for all of it. Make the calls that move the needle, communicate them clearly. * Go deep on methodology. Calculators, data sources, agricultural emission factors. The product is only as good as the science underneath. You will become one of the most knowledgeable people in Europe on how farm-level emissions get calculated. * Drive expansion into new markets and commodities. Run discovery in new geographies, pressure-test our offering with local customers, decide where we double down and where we pull back. * Make it action-ready. Data collection is the foundation. Reduction is where customer value compounds. Shape how our primary data product becomes the launchpad for everything we build on top of it. * Ship. We are still early stage. Time-to-customer-value beats perfection. Builder mentality is non-negotiable. 🦾 HOW WE SUPPORT YOU You will report directly to our Head of Product. Some of our angel investors that will actively mentor you: * Jan Philipp Thomsen (VP Product @Celonis) - scaling enterprise B2B SaaS * Vassili Samolis (Director Product @Doordash, ex-Instagram, ex-Pinterest) - product discovery at scale It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side. 🧺 WHAT YOU BRING ALONG You might be a good fit if you can demonstrate the following things: * 2-3 years of product management experience, ideally at an early-stage B2B SaaS company that shipped at a high pace. * Strong prioritization is your superpower. You can hold customer escalations, internal stakeholder asks, and long-term bets in your head at the same time, and decide what gets done first. You communicate those decisions clearly to engineers, designers, customers, and leadership alike. * Comfortable leading engineering and design. You know how to keep a squad moving, when to step in, when to step back. You can hold a productive conversation with both an engineer and a designer in the same hour. * Some technical understanding. You do not need to write production code, but you should be able to reason about systems, data models, and the tradeoffs that affect what is feasible. * Appetite to go deep. Agricultural emissions methodologies are not light reading. You should be the kind of person who gets curious, not bored, when the conversation turns to calculators and data sources. * Builder mentality. You enjoy shipping. You would rather have something live and imperfect than perfect and unshipped. * AI-fluent. Modern AI tools are part of your daily craft - for discovery synthesis, prototyping, writing, coding. You also have a point of view on how AI reshapes the products we build. * Bonus: a genuine interest in farmers, agriculture, or the food system. Not required, but it will make Monday mornings a lot more fun. 🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But guess what?! There is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. The only thing you need to ensure along the recruiting process and beyond is that the problem that we are solving with Root is one you cannot wait to get out of bed for on Monday morning! 🎢 HIRING PROCESS Our ambition is to offer you an end-to-end experience that is fast and uncomplicated - we aim to keep the end-to-end process to 10 working days. We send you prep material for each step and maximise transparency at every step. Root Global is an equal opportunity employer, which means we do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger. 🔭 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR MISSION Build an innovative operating system for the dairy industry from 0 to 1, at the intersection of farmers and dairies. Dairy is Root's home market. We know it inside out - the players, the workflows, the technology gaps, the people. We see a category-defining opportunity to build a new product line that sits between farmers and dairy processors, and that has the potential to become the connecting piece of our portfolio. This is a genuinely greenfield role. You will not inherit a backlog. You will define what we build, why, and for whom - then prove it works with a handful of pilot customers before we scale. WHAT YOUR JOB WILL LOOK LIKE: * Run deep discovery. Spend weeks with farmers, farm technicians, milk procurement teams, and dairy executives on-site. Understand their jobs, KPIs, and frustrations from the inside. * Define new workflows together with our customers. Shape how dairy companies will work in the future. This product line is about setting a new standard, not digitising what already exists - while AI will be at the core of it. * Build hacky prototypes and run pilots. Show, do not tell. Get something tangible in front of 2-3 design partners within weeks. * Assess desirability, feasibility, and viability before we commit serious engineering investment. * Define the v1 spec with engineering and design once we have conviction. Set the team up for delivery. * Onboard the first paying customers and iterate fast. Own the loop. * Decide what we will NOT build. Scope discipline is critical with limited engineering capacity and a customer base that operates on a fixed annual cycle. You will work side by side with the Head of Product to make the bet, and own the product line end-to-end as it grows. Engineering and design support will scale with traction. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT 6 MONTHS: * A first end-to-end prototype tested with real customers * 3 signed Letters of Intent from new customers * A concrete, evidence-backed set of build hypotheses for v1 🦾 HOW WE SUPPORT YOU You will report directly to our Head of Product. Some of our angel investors that will actively mentor you: * Mengting Bönsch (Founder & ex-CEO @Kitchenstories) - 0 to 1 product in food * Alexander Argyros (Founder @BlueLayer, ex-founder @Moonfare) - founder craft and early-stage discovery * Jan Philipp Thomsen (VP Product @Celonis) - scaling enterprise B2B SaaS * Vassili Samolis (Director Product @Doordash, ex-Instagram, ex-Pinterest) - product discovery at scale It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side. 🧺 WHAT YOU BRING ALONG Language requirement: Fluent in German and English. Non-negotiable - our customers and most farmers are German-speaking. Location: Berlin office, 5 days a week. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF: * You have 5-7 years of B2B SaaS product management experience, ideally including a stint at an early-stage startup before product-market fit. * You have built a product line or a major module from 0 to 1 - not just iterated on an existing one. You can talk us through what worked, what did not, and what you learned. * You love discovery. Customer interviews, field research, prototyping, and pilots are your favourite part of the job, not the part you outsource. * You love observing how others do their job. You take the parts that matter, design new workflows around them, and put prototypes in front of users to iterate - rather than running survey-driven roadmaps. * You are AI-fluent. Modern AI tools are part of your daily craft - for discovery synthesis, prototyping, writing, coding. You also have a point of view on how AI reshapes the products we build. * You have an interest or background in food, agriculture, or sustainability. Preferred, not required. We will teach you the domain. 🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But guess what?! WHO WE ARE Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring an Account Executive in Dublin to drive new customer acquisition and expansion across our Commercial (SMB) segment. This role is for a full-cycle seller who can run structured discovery calls, deliver compelling demos, navigate technical and business stakeholders, and progress complex opportunities to close—while operating with a strong outbound mindset and high urgency. You’ll work with buyers such as CIO, CTO, VP Product and VP Engineering, and you’ll be expected to develop strong product fluency in technical use cases (APIs, data, developer tooling, infrastructure, and AI/agentic workflows). WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE * An outbound-first mentality: proactively build net new pipeline and move quickly to create momentum within accounts. * Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution alignment, demoing, stakeholder management, negotiation, and close. * Run high-quality discovery calls to uncover business outcomes and technical requirements, translating them into a clear value narrative. * Deliver live demos and tailored storytelling to guide customers through evaluation, including light solution design as needed (workspace architecture, permissions, rollout approach, integrations) to unblock adoption. * Navigate complex commercial-stage requirements (security, legal, procurement) with support from cross-functional partners. * Forecast accurately and operate with consistent, high-velocity execution to meet or exceed quota. * Partner with Solutions, Product, and Marketing to bring customer insights back to the business. SKILLS YOU’LL NEED TO BRING: * 1–3 years of closing experience in a full-cycle quota-carrying role (or adjacent role with clear closing exposure), with consistent attainment. * Fluency in English and German * Experience selling into or working closely with technical buyer personas (e.g., CIO/CTO/VP Eng/VP Product), translating product capabilities into workflow and ROI narratives. * Outbound discipline, pipeline creativity and full-cycle sales capability, including discovery, demo and closing motions. * Demonstrated ability to run multi-threaded deals and influence across complex customer org structures * Curiosity and learning velocity—can pick up technical concepts quickly and explain them clearly. * Hands-on orientation with AI: uses AI to improve personal workflow and can speak to modern AI-enabled work patterns. * Comfortable with ambiguity; you’ll help refine our commercial motion, build repeatable processes, and bring sharp customer feedback into how we scale. NICE TO HAVES * Experience with usage-based / consumption pricing models. * Prior exposure to developer tooling, APIs, data, infrastructure, or AI products. * You've been an early sales hire at a fast growing start up before Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. The estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is €130,000 per year. By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy. #LI-Onsite A NOTE ON AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic.
