We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead our data strategy within the Credit Product team.
You will be responsible for the full data lifecycle — from designing robust dbt models to delivering insights that drive SMB
lending decisions. You will work closely with Credit, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure our credit products are optimized,
scalable, and supported by high-integrity data.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON You'll be embedded with our content team, working directly with editors to turn engagement and coverage data into the decisions that shape what we publish. Sitting within the analytics team alongside our analysts and analytics engineers, you'll own content analytics end-to-end, from instrumentation through to the insight that changes editorial strategy. * Build engagement measurement beyond readership. Define and instrument the signals that reveal an article's true value; time on page, scroll depth, click-through. * Separate genuine engagement from passing interest. Build tag-effectiveness analysis and LLM-based content classification so editors can see what actually resonates. * Measure core and public audiences. Quantify engagement for our core subscriber base (client value) and broader public reach (demand generation), across content, social and video. * Power data-driven coverage prioritisation. Surface the highest-attention companies and situations so editorial resource hits the most contentious, market-moving stories. * Track competitive coverage and story attribution. Monitor coverage gaps, timeliness and accuracy versus competitors, and attribute market-moving stories to 9fin. * Explain what's moving the numbers. Diagnose spike drivers and build reproducible analysis frameworks rather than one-off dashboards. * Own content datasets and the semantic layer. Author dbt models on BigQuery and own the Omni semantic layer so the newsroom gets fast, trustworthy, self-serve answers. * Be the embedded analytical partner to the newsroom. Work directly with editors, translating content questions into analysis that shapes editorial strategy and helps us build a better distressed product than the competition. ABOUT YOU You're a senior, hands-on individual contributor with real technical depth who's excited to sit inside a newsroom and use data to shape what gets covered and how. * Proven analytics experience, ideally in media, B2B SaaS or fintech, owning analysis end-to-end and driving real decisions. * Expert SQL for complex analysis, optimisation and reusable datasets. * dbt & a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake or similar) — commercial experience building production models, tests and docs. * Modern BI with an integrated semantic layer — building self-serve dashboards and owning metric definitions (e.g. Omni, Looker, Thoughtspot). * Engagement and event analytics — designing tracking/instrumentation and analysing behavioural signals, with the statistical judgement to separate signal from noise. * Fluent with AI tools — building LLM-based pipelines to classify and analyse content at scale. * A strong communicator who turns analysis into clear narratives editors and leadership can act on. * Curious and a fast learner — comfortable grasping distressed-market concepts within a few explanations; a background blending data and storytelling is a real plus. * Finance or distressed-debt knowledge is a plus, not essential. * Bonus: content, web, SEO, social or audience/growth analytics; Python for deeper analysis. Sitting within the analytics team alongside our analysts and analytics engineers, you'll own marketing analytics end-to-end, from instrumentation through to the insight that shapes where we spend. * Own the inbound funnel metrics end-to-end. Define and own the metrics across landing → MQL → SQL → trial → conversion, so marketing, sales and leadership trust the same numbers. * Build multi-touch attribution. Move beyond last-touch UTM tracking to attribution that shows which channels and campaigns actually drive pipeline and revenue. * Measure channel and campaign performance. Show where we're winning across email, paid media, social, events and SEO — what to scale, and what to stop. * Connect marketing to revenue. Model CAC, conversion, payback and cohort LTV, and quantify marketing's contribution to pipeline and bookings, in partnership with our GTM/RevOps analytics. * Own marketing data models and the semantic layer. Author dbt models on BigQuery integrating HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics and Amplitude, and own the Omni semantic layer so the team gets self-serve answers as we migrate off Metabase. * Own instrumentation and lead-data quality. Design landing-page and web tracking (UTMs, Amplitude), support lead-scoring models, and keep marketing and sales numbers aligned, trustworthy and GDPR-compliant. * Own web and SEO analytics. Track website traffic, SEO performance and inbound lead quality, and turn it into clear recommendations. * Be the embedded analytical partner to marketing. Work directly with demand gen and RevOps, translating campaign questions into analysis that drives spend and prioritisation decisions. The team We are the Risk team responsible for managing the credit risk of Liberis’ portfolios, which include designing effective new strategies, managing the credit quality of our products across geographies, and providing specialist credit risk advice to the business. The Risk team is based in London and covers Risk analytics, Decision Science, Underwriting and Collections. Our mission is to grow Liberis profitably to become the leading embedded business finance provider and we are now looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join us on this journey. The role We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems through data and analysis. This is an ideal role for an analytical thinker who is naturally curious, enjoys investigating trends and identifying opportunities, and is motivated by seeing their work influence real business decisions. You'll be comfortable taking ownership of projects - framing problems, conducting deep analysis, developing recommendations and working with stakeholders to implement change. While experience in credit risk is beneficial, we're primarily looking for an individual with strong analytical capability, commercial thinking and a track record of turning data into actionable insights. Reporting to the Risk Manager, you'll help shape Liberis' credit risk strategy by delivering analytical insights, developing portfolio monitoring frameworks and driving strategic initiatives across our global products. You'll work closely with teams across Risk, Data Science, Analytics, Product, Pricing and Commercial to ensure our lending decisions support sustainable growth while remaining within our risk appetite. What you will be doing * Own analytical projects from initial problem definition through to recommendation and implementation. * Perform deep-dive analyses to identify portfolio trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement. * Develop and optimise credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle, including acquisition and collections. * Build and enhance forecasting models to provide forward-looking insight into portfolio performance and emerging trends. * Design and maintain portfolio monitoring frameworks and dashboards, transforming data into clear business recommendations. * Present analysis, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing strategic business decisions. * Identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance through changes to risk strategy, pricing, policy or operational processes. * Partner closely with Analytics, Data Science, Product, Partnerships, Pricing and regional teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives. * Help improve analytical processes, tooling and ways of working within the Risk team. What we think you'll need * Experience in an analytical role (we anticipate 2-5 years), with a strong track record of using data to solve complex business problems, generate actionable insights and influence decision-making. * Demonstrated ownership of analytical projects, taking work from problem definition through analysis to implementation. * Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance analytical evidence against business objectives. * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Experience using SQL and at least one analytical language such as Python, SAS or R. Strong Excel skills are expected. * Experience with data platforms such as Looker, Power BI, BigQuery or dbt is advantageous. * Credit risk or financial services experience is beneficial but not essential.
