WHO WE ARE ABOUT STRIPE Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. ABOUT THE TEAM The Cash Platform team is part of Stripe's Money Movement Services Platform. We manage Stripe's FX and cash positions across the globe, owning two of the most commercially critical problems in our business: delivering the best possible FX trades for our users, and optimizing the cost and routing of cross-border payouts across countries. Stripe recently launched its own in-house bank, enabling near-instant movement of funds across accounts worldwide—and Cash Platform is at the center of bringing that infrastructure to Stripe's products and, increasingly, to our customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll work closely with engineering teams across Cash Platform and Money Movement Services, cross-functional partners spanning Legal, Treasury, Financial Crimes, and Sales, and senior stakeholders inside and outside Stripe. You'll define the strategy and roadmap for Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products, drive cost optimization and routing decisions at scale, and help shape the path toward monetizing Stripe's in-house banking infrastructure for users globally. RESPONSIBILITIES You are expected to: * Deeply understand the competitive landscape and define clear benchmarks for where Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products need to be * Own the product strategy and roadmap for Cash Platform, balancing near-term cost and performance optimization with longer-term platform monetization opportunities * Drive API design and technical decisions in close partnership with engineering leads, ensuring our infrastructure is both best-in-class and commercially oriented * Lead cross-functional initiatives across Money Movement, Sales, and partner teams to accelerate delivery and adoption of FX and payout products * Engage with senior customer and internal stakeholders to communicate roadmap direction, surface requirements, and build alignment * Own decisions directly impacting the revenue and cost profile of Stripe's money movement business WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of product management experience * Technically deep: You have a strong technical foundation—ideally as a former engineer or data scientist—and are comfortable owning API design decisions and understanding systems end-to-end, including what is expensive from a cost and latency perspective * Business-minded: You make decisions through the lens of revenue and commercial impact; this is infrastructure, not consumer product, and you understand the difference * Cross-functional by default: You thrive in environments where success requires tight coordination across engineering, finance, legal, compliance, and sales—not working in silos * Domain experienced: You've worked on FX, cross-border payments, treasury, or similar financial infrastructure at companies like Airwallex, Wise, Revolut, Payoneer, Ramp, or a major financial institution * Strong executor: You move with speed and urgency, can manage complexity across multiple workstreams, and have a track record of shipping in ambiguous, high-stakes environments * Strong communicator: You radiate intent—partners, stakeholders, and leaders know where you stand, what's blocked, and what's coming next
ABOUT THE TEAM The Financial Partnerships team sits within the Global Partnerships organization and is a key component of our success. Our team is responsible for developing and managing relationships with the global and regional banks that enable the Stripe product strategy and deliver new capabilities to Stripe users. Our team executes on high-impact, cross-functional product partnership initiatives across existing products and early-stage "up the stack" financial products. These partnerships have a significant impact on Stripe and are essential for us to offer products used by millions of our users. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're looking for a Partner Development Manager to join the Financial Partnerships team. You'll be responsible for developing and executing the multi-year, global strategies for building our relationships across many of our most important banking partners. You'll focus on designing, scaling, and continuously improving mechanisms to deepen relationships with our partners, as well as highly impactful programs key to differentiating Stripe. As part of these efforts, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Risk, etc.), and with the banking partners' executive teams. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage and develop partners, think strategically and apply diagnostic thinking to business, product, and technical challenges, and earn trust with and influence others. A high-agency attitude, the ability to raise expectations in changing environments, and a drive to create impact through ownership are all important in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop the go-to-partner strategy and execute on our most ambitious company-bending, bank-network-driven projects that are global and cross-border in nature * Own the banking partner plans, the overall economics, day-to-day operational excellence, and be responsible for driving the partnerships to successful outcomes for Stripe * Leverage banking, treasury, and payments industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies with transaction banks, lenders, capital markets, central banks, and schemes * Navigate, in partnership with Product, to execute deals supporting that strategy and help ensure a proper execution plan is in place * Leverage significant industry experience to educate and help internal teams compose our holistic bank-led strategy and to advance that strategy with banking partners WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 7+ years of financial services experience, including directly working at banking institutions in cash management, FIG, or payments, and experience in partner management or business development working with banking institutions in PSPs or fintechs enabling pay-in and pay-out, store value, and embedded lending * Advanced knowledge of the banking and clearing landscape across multiple geographies with specific focus on transaction banking, e-money, safeguarding, multi-currency, and cross-border payments * Demonstrated experience building proprietary global collection and payout networks * A proven track record of working in a product-centric environment with significant internal and external dependencies across product, engineering, legal, sales, risk, and compliance * Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go-to-market models
WHO WE ARE ABOUT STRIPE Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. ABOUT THE TEAM Stripe's Marketplaces product team sits inside Money Management Services (MMS) and owns the financial infrastructure that marketplace platforms use to move money between buyers, sellers, and themselves. Marketplaces are structurally different from direct merchants: money doesn't just flow from a buyer to a single seller—it splits, routes, holds, gets reserved, crosses currencies, and arrives in dozens of countries through a chain of platform decisions. Getting that right, at scale and reliably, is the problem this team owns. Connect platforms represent the majority of Stripe's pay-in volume, and the marketplace segment is our fastest-growing and most complex. The fund flow problem is not fully solved industry-wide; platforms still hit rough edges at scale around multi-currency, cross-border operations, and multi-processor reconciliation. By solving these problems, we create durable switching costs and make Stripe the obvious choice for the next generation of marketplace businesses. Our pod is a small group working intensely on bounded problems with high autonomy and high accountability. We ship via focused milestones, measure activation and revenue impact directly, and iterate fast. WHAT YOU’LL DO We are looking for a highly technical Product Manager to lead our Marketplaces product suite. This is not a generic PM role: you will work at the intersection of multi-party fund flows, cross-border money movement, platform controls, and the complex regulatory landscape that governs all of it. A significant part of this role is outbound-focused. You will bridge the gap between what a platform tells a sales team they need and what their engineers actually require to build. You will act as the central translator between a legal constraint, an engineering implementation, and a platform's business logic—co-designing APIs directly with flagship users and taking those validated solutions global. RESPONSIBILITIES * Engage directly with flagship marketplaces to understand their charge types, transfer logic, payout schedules, reserve policies, and the edge cases they encounter at scale; synthesize these learnings to set product direction * Co-design and pressure-test APIs with reference users through structured early-access programs, including working directly with major marketplace engineering and finance teams on what is blocking their global expansion * Maintain active relationships with flagship accounts to validate problem framing, and work closely with Enterprise Sales and Solutions Engineering to turn user learnings into durable product decisions that scale beyond the initial accounts * Improve core fund flow primitives—including debits and transfers—to make them more reliable, transparent, and globally available; build closed-loop wallet infrastructure for commercial marketplaces where buyers hold and respend balances * Expand cross-border payout coverage by unlocking more currencies, corridors, and faster settlement speeds for marketplace sellers without adding integration complexity * Enable multi-processor fund flows, allowing marketplaces that process through multiple PSPs to make unified payouts via Stripe, including PSD3-compliant funding flows in the EU WHO YOU ARE We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure * Track record of shipping products across multiple teams while navigating significant technical complexity and strict regulatory or compliance constraints * Comfortable reading code, writing coherent specs, evaluating API designs, and contributing credibly to engineering discussions—without needing to write production code * Strong data fluency, including SQL, with the ability to form causal hypotheses about why metrics move rather than simply describing them * Demonstrated ability to build alignment across engineering, legal, and business functions to ship effectively PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working at a two-sided marketplace or platform as a builder or operator, with firsthand understanding of multi-party money movement, seller onboarding, and reconciliation * Familiarity with Stripe Connect or equivalent platform-payment products (e.g., Adyen for Platforms, Braintree Marketplace, Hyperwallet, Payoneer) * Experience designing or improving financial reconciliation and settlement reporting for platforms or their sellers * Track record of taking products from private or public preview to general availability, including driving self-serve activation and packaging and pricing
