Test Center Manager Do you want to lead a highly skilled team while making a direct impact on the development of future automotive technologies? About the role As Test Center Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and development of our testing laboratory. You will lead a team of Test Engineers and Technicians and ensure that our testing operations deliver accurate, reliable, and timely results to support product development and customer projects. This is a key leadership role where you will combine strategic planning with operational excellence, continuously developing our laboratory capabilities, equipment, and people. Reporting to the Advanced Engineering Director, you will collaborate closely with R&D, Project Management, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders across the organization. Your responsibilities As Test Center Manager, you will: Lead and develop the daily operations of the Test Center. Plan and prioritize testing activities to meet project requirements and business objectives. Ensure testing is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and internal procedures. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers and Technicians. Ensure accurate reporting and high quality of all laboratory results. Drive the development, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of test benches and laboratory equipment. Oversee the Test Center budget and ensure cost-effective operations. Manage external laboratories and ensure quality, certification, and technical alignment when testing is outsourced. Your profile We're looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to inspire, develop, and engage others. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can influence both strategy and daily operations, while building a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. To succeed in this role, you have: A Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. At least 10 years of experience in testing automotive cooling components or similar automotive systems. A minimum of 5 years' experience leading teams, managing budgets, and driving operational performance. Good knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and management systems including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE? As a Technical Delivery Manager, your days will balance technical product enablement with team leadership. You'll act as the authority on our product's configuration and setup; translating client needs into the right approach, while safeguarding a consistent, standardized way of working across all clients. You'll act as a thoughtful gatekeeper for our product standards, knowing when to challenge a request and how to redirect it toward a more scalable, maintainable solution. A big part of this is bringing people along with you, clearly explaining the trade-offs and the thinking behind the path you recommend. Alongside this, you'll set the strategy and direction for the team, manage day-to-day operations, and own escalation for incidents. You'll handle specific client requests, run 1-1s and performance reviews, and create an environment where your team can do their best work. Each day, you'll move fluidly between hands-on product guidance and the leadership that keeps the team aligned, motivated, and delivering. WHO ARE YOU GOING TO WORK WITH? You'll work closely with your team of Product Specialists, as well as with Product Owners, Developers, Technical Project Managers, and client-facing colleagues. You'll be a trusted point of contact for clients on product setup and enablement, and an escalation partner for stakeholders across the business. You are a confident, detail-oriented, and decisive individual who balances technical rigor with strong people skills. You can hold a standard, communicate the "why" behind a decision, and bring a team along with you. Additionally, you possess the following qualifications: * Proven experience in a product specialist, technical project management, or product enablement role, with deep knowledge of product configuration and setup. * Demonstrated ability to define and uphold a standardized product approach across multiple clients, including the confidence to decline or reshape out-of-scope requests. * People management experience, including setting team strategy, running 1-1s, and conducting performance reviews. * Experience owning incident escalation and managing competing priorities under pressure. * Strong stakeholder and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Adaptability to excel in a distributed, multicultural team setting. Preferably, you also have: * Experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, or Personalization platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Braze). * A track record of improving product adoption, onboarding, or enablement processes at scale. * Experience defining best practices, documentation, or governance frameworks for a product. * A background that combines individual technical contribution with team leadership. * Familiarity with working in an agency, consultancy, or technology Center of Excellence environment. This is a new role with a real opportunity to build from the ground up—developing relationships with professors, instructors, technology centers, and program leadership at the world's top design schools, HCI programs, and bootcamps, and writing the playbook for how Figma shows up at the institutional level. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. Pay Transparency Disclosure If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
