We are looking for a Senior Production Planning Manager to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. Purpose and Goals In this role, you will take ownership of developing and scaling Candelas global production planning as we prepare for multi-site manufacturing. You will build the structure and processes needed to support our continued growth, ensuring alignment across Sourcing, Production, and Logistics so that production runs smoothly and on schedule. You will also strengthen planning tools and workflows, using advanced Excel models while supporting the transition of planning processes into Odoo. You will work closely with a production administrator in Rotebro and a global controller, reflecting the close link between production planning and financial performance. The role will be an important part of the Operations management team as Candela expands its global production footprint. Your core responsibilities will include: Create, update, and monitor the daily/weekly/bi-weekly and long-term production plan based on manning capacity, material availability, R&D and ME releases. Create KPI and planning reports to the COO and participate as support at performance reviews with the CEO. Analyze stock levels, anticipate shortages, and alert Procurement before issues escalate. Ensure production orders, in Odoo, are created, sequenced, and closed correctly. Track production KPIs and flag risks early. Work closely with the Production team to challenge and adjust priorities when things shift. Prepare planning reports in Excel and support the migration of these workflows into Odoo. Follow up on critical ongoing production activities and keep teams aligned with deadlines. Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes. What are we looking for? You are highly organized with a natural drive to keep processes structured and efficient. As a Production Engineer (Pilot Production) you will stabilize, scale, and continuously improve pilot‑line processes that span electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, and formation & aging. Your mission is to translate cell designs and lab recipes into robust, traceable processes ready for industrialization at Northvolt gigafactories. You will report directly to the Plant Director and be responsible for driving quality and quality assurance for the whole site through the PLT (Plant Leadership team), your quality team and the organization. How You Will Contribute You will: Lead a high-performing production function — take full ownership Quality and Quality assurance, ensuring engagement and alignment with site and business objectives. Drive operational excellence— embed a zero-loss mindset and continuous improvement culture in your team and the plant. Analyse performance data and KPIs to drive sustainable progress. Build and develop your team — foster a growth mindset and build capability at all levels to create self-sufficient, empowered teams. Own budget and resource planning — take accountability for your functions budget, driving cost-effectiveness while maintaining and developing quality standards. Ensure compliance and standards — uphold all manufacturing standards including food safety, GMP, health & safety, environmental requirements, and internal policies. Ensure these are understood, implemented, and regularly reviewed. Collaborate cross-functionally — partner with other functions to deliver on shared goals. Drive transformation and change — support the implementation of modern manufacturing practices and standards to future-proof the operation together with the organization. What You Will Bring Required MSc in Engineering, Food Science or other relevant education e.g. within finance Minimum 5 years of experience of working with Quality in a manufacturing and/or production environment (Food production / Pharma) Proven leadership experience, preferably both team and matrix, excellent communication skills and productive collaborations Growth mindset — a genuine drive to develop yourself, your team, and the operation Change management experience — both in implementing and re-aligning way of working and standards. Drive continuous improvement by monitoring system performance, gathering feedback from users, and proposing enhancements to increase value and efficiency. Your Background Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, Management Consultant, IT Consultant, or Manufacturing IT Analyst within complex industrial or production environments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and model business and manufacturing processes and translate them into actionable requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures. Demonstrate experience working with IT/OT teams, development, operations teams and vendors to deliver high-quality application support and enhancements. Experience with MES platforms, industrial data systems, or integration technologies is an advantage, but not mandatory. Fluency in English is required; Swedish is highly desirable.
