ABOUT THE TEAM The Procurement team provides services to the businesses that are the backbone for Stripe. Stripe's newly revamped broader Procurement organization consists of Third Party Risk, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Deal Management, Procurement Enablement, AP and T&E. To facilitate supplier deals with Strategic Sourcing and the business, we created a new Supplier Deal Management (SDM) team in 2022. This instrumental function builds an efficient supplier contracting process, reduces friction for business leaders, works in partnership with TPRM and Legal to minimize risk, and increases the velocity at which Stripe can engage key suppliers. SDM's mission is to drive agreements efficiently via appropriate channels, bringing structure to the overall contracting process in partnership with stakeholders while providing a customized and guided user experience and effectively managing value and risk for Stripe. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're looking for a Supplier Deal Management Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will help us improve the user experience by processing and reviewing supplier contracting requests according to the following steps: 1. Intake FAQ—Answer initial questions and educate DRIs on the overall risk assessment and supplier contracting process 2. Contract Preparation—Conduct initial review of contractual terms (or assemble appropriate Stripe templates) and prepare agreements for legal review according to defined guidelines 3. Partner with the business on commercial negotiations where applicable 4. Customer Service—Provide a DRI first, guided experience for all transactions 5. Keep a close eye on productivity and communication with DRIs using our Zip procurement tool The individual will also conduct ad hoc tasks relating to contracts as applicable—such as lookups, research for stakeholders and other procurement teams, and systems reconciliation. RESPONSIBILITIES • Engage internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Sourcing, Third Party Risk, and Stripe Buyers and Business leaders) to prepare and drive contracts efficiently through the various stages of the third-party engagements process • Partner with internal teams such as Finance, Legal, Security, and Sourcing to improve the collaboration between contracting and other functions, reducing risk for Stripe and improving visibility into our processes • Utilize templates and fallback positions • Manage pre-assigned engagements within our Contract Lifecycle Management system (Agiloft) • Be responsible for end-to-end contract lifecycle management • Ability to understand commercial and legal language commonly used within commercial contracts, demonstrable ease with contractual language, strong attention to detail • Partner with respective business contacts to solve user inquiries related to contracting and, if needed, troubleshoot as well • Analyze our processes and instigate changes to help scale our operations and improve user experience • Analyze internal data to drive operational performance and pull reporting from Agiloft to drive improvements • Work closely with other Stripe teams to assist with internal and external ad hoc requests • Be a part of building a brand-new team and operational culture for Stripe WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 4–5 years of relevant experience in formulating and reviewing end-to-end contract lifecycle management with a degree in Law or a relevant field • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent Stripe effectively by interfacing with and influencing experienced business leaders • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze problems, and make complex investigatory decisions • Ability to earn trust quickly and drive value for a critical function involving multiple stakeholders with the ability to stand behind opinions with sound reasoning • An operationally focused mindset, with a laser focus on efficiency and continuous improvement • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with a rigorous decision-making process • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace tools, MS Office products, and experience working with and analyzing contracts • Independently analyze and evaluate information from various data sources to determine a course of action • Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders • Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices • Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of the fintech industry • The ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements • A builder's mindset and a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom • A passion for creating new systems and solving problems via infrastructure and automation

ABOUT THE TEAM The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team is accountable for defining, maintaining, and overseeing the third-party risk framework, policy, and inventory in accordance with management expectations and best practices. We are focused on assessing and managing risks exposed through our relationships with third parties, adhering to regulatory guidance, and driving operational efficiencies across risk teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you'll support and maintain a robust framework for identifying, assessing, and managing third-party risks to protect Stripe. You'll partner with cross-functional Risk Domain Owners, Procurement subteams, Legal, and other stakeholders to apply a unified Third Party Risk Framework across risk and compliance areas. You'll maintain the existing Stripe Third Party Risk Program, Policy, and Standards, while further developing new Standards to propel the maturity of the Third Party Risk Program. RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain the Global Third Party Risk Management Program, Policy, and Framework, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices * Launch and mature nascent risk domains to increase overall program maturity * Design and support an enhanced oversight model for specialized third-party types including Partnerships and Contingent Workers * Design and enhance elements of the existing Third Party Risk Framework including offboarding and incident monitoring, among other areas * Build and oversee the third-party performance management function and define performance standards, including metric templates and ongoing monitoring activities, to ensure third-party health * Design effective reporting to monitor and communicate the third-party risk program status, key issues, and remediation plans to governance committees, senior leaders, and relevant stakeholders * Serve as subject matter expert and coordinator of system business requirements among risk domain owners and stakeholders—prioritizing effective requirements (Users First and Risk Focused) WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 4+ years of experience in risk or compliance roles, preferably third-party risk in a regulated environment * Proven experience managing distinct projects and programs, with particularly strong skills in stakeholder management * Strong written and verbal communication skills—including the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders across the business such as risk domain owners, internal audit, and the broader risk and compliance community * Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, including navigating leadership and interpersonal working relationships * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to handle multiple assignments while comfortably managing ambiguity * Ability to assess and analyze data in order to solve problems and draw insightful conclusions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Previous experience building third-party risk programs * Previous experience implementing programs around regulatory frameworks * Understanding of risk program elements including policy and risk appetite creation and maintenance * Understanding of risk areas such as information security, privacy, business continuity, finance, reputation, operational, and ESG * Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
