STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB is located in Norrkoping, Sweden and has ST as a majority owner since February 2019. Previously named Norstel AB, the company is ST’s competence center in silicon carbide material technology. The company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linkoping University, and since 2006 in a dedicated production facility in Norrkoping. We focus on the development and pilot production of silicon carbide (SiC) wafers for ST’s automotive market. We operate a 2000 m2 production area with a facility and equipment running 24 x 7. YOUR ROLE Hands-on repair and preventive maintenance on process equipment and facility. Answers to alarms/breakdowns and supports the manufacturing line with diagnostics and repair. Responsible not just for identifying the issue, but for diagnosing its cause, developing a solution, and implementing that solution, sometimes within an extremely short timeframe. Plan, preforms, document in the system and close work orders in the maintenance system. Support maintenance and facility with documentation and projects. Introduction and responsibility for new tools like FMEA for equipment and facility systems. EHS - Completion and follow-up of audit actions. CAD support Work closely with the process team in order to continuously improve the performance and availability of the production line. Proposes and takes in charge specific improvement projects. Work together with process team in common projects. This will be an Onsite role based out of ST's Office. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES Minimum 2 years of experience is required. The candidate should have a valid driver’s license. Background or know-how in automation, electrical, mechanics or facility. CAD Good ability to prioritize, work independent. Good communicator, creating relationships and co-operation. Strong commitment, persistent, driven and curious Organizational ability to structure and document the daily work. Be able to prioritize the most important tasks but not allow smaller or seemingly “lesser” issues to fall by the wayside. A keen eye is required to identify small issues within a much larger whole Previous work with water and ventilation is meritorious. Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine greasing of bearings and execute periodic shaft rotations (turning) to prevent equipment degradation. Climate Management: Monitor and implement heating solutions for specific machinery components as required by technical specifications. Inventory & Documentation: Keep accurate records of all preservation activities and periodic maintenance cycles. Desirable qualifications (not mandatory) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial preservation. Education: Vocational training or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Technical Skills: Familiarity with mechanical machine elements & assemblies. Also, knowledge about specialized greases and surface corrosion protection applications. Physical Capability: Fully comfortable for working at heights. Mindset: High attention to detail and a proactive approach to preventing equipment damage. Knowledge about periodical maintenance. What We Offer Immediate start in a large-scale industrial project.
