The Internal Identity Team’s mission is to protect Stripe by providing primitives that enable secure user access at Stripe. The
infrastructure and tooling we build enables Stripe to enforce strong authentication and authorization controls, while providing a
seamless user experience for Stripes to do their best work.
At its core, our team is both an infrastructure team and a security team (Security Infrastructure). We build the platforms and
tools that enable system and resource owners to implement core authentication and authorization primitives in their own services,
and act as security practitioners who collaborate directly with stakeholders within Stripe to socialize security best practices.
Our platform represents critical infrastructure with high reliability requirements, demanding excellence in site reliability
engineering practices to deliver performant, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.

ABOUT THE TEAM Developer Experience and Product Platform (DEeP) org empowers all of Stripe's products with a shared product platform that can help with rapidly delivering high-quality, consistent, cross-product experiences across our UI and API surfaces. It focuses on providing a consistent and scalable developer experience that any developer can leverage to accelerate a customer's ability to create value from Stripe. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Organization Access Platform (OAP) team, focusing on security initiatives. In this role, you'll drive critical security programs across multiple teams, manage dependencies, and ensure the successful delivery of security features that protect our platform and users. This is a highly technical role requiring strong program management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Your role involves spearheading large-scale technical programs, solving intricate challenges, and ensuring successful product launches. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead end-to-end program management for critical security initiatives including API key security, Account Takeover (ATO) prevention, login access controls, and other risk, security, and fraud prevention measures. * Drive cross-team dependencies and collaboration between security, fraud operations, and product engineering teams. * Track, communicate, and resolve program blockers across multiple workstreams. * Develop implementation roadmaps and execution strategies for complex security features. * Partner with engineering managers to define technical requirements and prioritize security enhancements. * Establish metrics and reporting processes to measure program effectiveness and security outcomes. * Facilitate decision-making processes when trade-offs arise between security, user experience, and development timelines. * Represent OAP security initiatives in cross-functional meetings and leadership reviews. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of technical program management experience with demonstrated success in security-focused initiatives * Experience managing complex technical programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies * Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices, particularly in API security, authentication systems, and access controls * Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to various audiences * Proven track record of influencing decisions across teams without direct authority * Experience working with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with payment systems, financial technology, or enterprise SaaS platforms * Knowledge of compliance requirements related to data security (SOC2, PCI, etc.) * Experience with identity and access management systems * Background in API development or platform security * Previous experience working on developer platforms or developer experience

Role Overview 🚀 As an Engineering Manager at Benifex, you will lead two software engineering teams of five engineers each, responsible for critical parts of our platform. One team is based in Gothenburg, where you will have full people management responsibility, while the other is a nearshore team in Poland where you will own delivery and performance. You will drive delivery, coach teams to improve performance, and ensure smooth collaboration across this distributed setup. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on people, delivery, and continuous improvement. Success in this role means proactively identifying opportunities, removing bottlenecks, and enabling your teams to consistently perform at their best. What are we looking for? 🔎 -Proven experience as an Engineering Manager with strong leadership seniority and a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams. -Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, feedback, and the ability to build trust and motivation in teams. -Experience leading engineering teams with a focus on delivery, continuous improvement, and measurable results. -Strong technical understanding, ideally from a software engineering background, with ability to translate product requirements into team plans, capacity, and execution. -Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), including sprint planning, estimation, task breakdown, and iterative delivery. -Ability to drive engineering quality, including high coding standards, maintainability, testing practices, and prevention of technical debt. -Collaborative and empathetic leadership style with strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers, tech leads, product managers, and other stakeholders. -Strong interest in modern engineering practices, including Generative AI (Prompt Engineering, Fine Tuning, RAG) and adoption of AI/tools to improve efficiency. -Passion for product and quality, with a focus on both why we build (user value) and how we build (engineering standards and excellence).
