THE TEAM YOU'LL BE JOINING AND THE IMPACT YOU'LL HAVE * You'll join our go-to-market team as our second Solutions Engineer in New York (the team is 3 people), sitting right at the front of the sales cycle in a company processing tens of millions of documents for customers across finance, insurance, and real estate. * You'll be the technical partner to our Account Executives, the person who turns a promising conversation into a bought-in technical champion and a closed deal. * V7 Go 4x-ed revenue last year, with 160%+ upsell into accounts. You'll help accelerate that by winning the technical evaluation on every deal you touch. * We run a lean, high-trust team where you'll work directly with AEs, engineers, and product to move complex deals over the line. * Your work directly shapes how enterprises experience agentic AI for the first time and how quickly they believe in it. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING FROM DAY ONE * Partner with Account Executives across the sales cycle: lead technical discovery, run demos tailored to each buyer, and shape the technical win strategy on every deal. * Own proofs of concept end to end, from scoping success criteria with the customer through to building the prototype in V7 Go and presenting results back to technical and business stakeholders. * Handle technical qualification, objection handling, and security or architecture questions that come up during evaluation, and respond to RFPs where needed. * Build working prototypes with prompt engineering, data pipelines, and integrations to prove out real customer use cases during the sales process. * Be the trusted technical voice in the room, translating a customer's problem into a clear solution vision that maps to business value. * Feed patterns and objections from live deals back to product and engineering so we sharpen both the product and the pitch. WHO YOU ARE * You have presales or sales engineering experience, ideally selling technical products into enterprise, and you know how to win a technical evaluation. * You are comfortable owning the technical side of a deal alongside an AE: discovery, demos, POCs, and the stakeholder management that comes with a complex sales cycle. * You are a prototyper at heart with a gift for talking to customers, building relationships, and solving technical problems quickly and repeatably. * You love coding with Python. * You have experience delivering Large Language Model projects with customers, including LLM API integration, up-to-speed knowledge of foundation models, solutions design and architecture, prompt engineering, and/or measuring AI accuracy. * You can develop and articulate an AI solution vision to technical and business stakeholders, matching the value proposition to business needs. About You Outtake is looking for a technical product champion who bridges the gap between our customers' security challenges and our AI-powered platform to join our team as a Sales Engineer. We're seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of sales and engineering, with the technical fluency to navigate complex cybersecurity environments and the communication skills to command the room with CISOs and security leaders. This person will be instrumental in supporting our most complex enterprise deals — leading technical discovery, delivering compelling demos, and designing solutions that map Outtake's platform to real-world threat landscapes. The right candidate has an insatiable curiosity about cybersecurity, genuinely enjoys solving hard problems alongside customers, and gets energized by helping close deals. What You'll Need to Bring * 2–6 years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales, ideally in cybersecurity or adjacent infrastructure/SaaS * Strong understanding of modern attack surfaces, threat detection, and security operations workflows * Technical fluency with APIs, data models, and system architecture — you can speak credibly to both engineering teams and security practitioners * Exceptional communication and presentation skills across technical and executive audiences * Natural curiosity and genuine passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning * Highly adaptable with the ability to context-switch between customer conversations, live demos, and technical deep-dives What You'll Achieve * Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery and solution design for complex, high-value enterprise deals * Deliver compelling demos tailored to each prospect's security environment and threat landscape * Architect proof-of-concept deployments that showcase Outtake's agentic AI capabilities * Serve as the technical authority in sales cycles, fielding deep questions on threat classification, automated response, and platform architecture * Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate field insights into roadmap priorities What Success Looks Like * Become the trusted technical advisor that prospects rely on throughout the sales process * Consistently contribute to deal velocity and win rates through strong technical positioning * Build repeatable demo workflows and technical collateral that scale the sales motion * Surface patterns in prospect needs and competitive intelligence that shape product strategy * Seamlessly hand off closed deals to post-sale teams with thorough implementation context Bonus Points * Background in cybersecurity — whether in security operations, threat intelligence, or selling to security buyers * Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts, particularly as applied to threat detection and response * SQL or similar analytical/technical skills * Experience at a fast-paced startup LIFE AT OUTTAKE * Office: For those in NY, we are an in-person team (5 days a week, with flexibility as needed) working out of a stunning waterfront office in Brooklyn. THE ROLE: As AI Deployment Strategist, you’ll work across customer success, sales, and engineering to ensure technical clarity and execution—before, during, and after the sale of our cutting-edge F2 product. You’ll become the AI prompting authority for the business, forming the technical backbone of the go-to-market motion. YOU WILL: * Support the F2 sales process by joining prospect and client calls to address technical product questions * Own customer due diligence: complete InfoSec questionnaires, and continuously improve our DDQ knowledge base * Audit reports generated by users, flag issues to engineering, and support customers in getting value from our AI * Prompt engineering: create natural language prompts tailored to customer needs to ensure accurate, relevant report output * Deliver light technical implementations, such as configuring SSO or provisioning custom data retention policies * Ensure CRM hygiene: maintain clean, structured data to help the customer success and sales teams scale effectively * Be the voice of the customer to the engineering team—providing real feedback that helps improve the product WHO YOU ARE You’re a versatile operator who can translate between engineers and customers. You know how to handle enterprise buyers, explain complex systems clearly, and work cross-functionally to deliver high-impact outcomes. * Experience prompting and working with LLMs and AI SaaS tools * Familiarity with enterprise information security concepts and due diligence processes * Strong communicator who is commercially minded, customer-obsessed, and tech fluent. You can explain complex concepts to non technical audiences * Ability to project manage complex workflows and technical deliverables without writing production code * Strong on keyboard skills, technically sharp, and eager to find a path to leveling up your coding skills * Based in NYC — we believe the best work is done together, in person at our beautiful corporate HQ in NYC. You’ll have flexibility to work remotely at least 1 day per week. NICE TO HAVES * Prior experience reviewing or writing investment memos or working as an investment analyst is a big plus * Previous roles in technical sales, solutions engineering, customer success, or AI implementation * Familiarity with reporting tools, natural language outputs, or unstructured document processing
