About the role In this role you will join a technically skilled team responsible for final testing and verification of customized control cabinets used in excitation systems before they are delivered to customers. Good understanding of PLC programming, electrical schematics, and control systems. Hands-on experience with cable routing, adjustment, and troubleshooting of electrical control cabinets, as well as knowledge of electrical measurement methods. Good command of English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Office. In this role you will be part of a new expanding department that will focus on type testing and type approvals within HVDC for Electrical Environment. We are part of Control & Protection for hardware design. We are designing the automation system layout with placement of circuit boards and cable channeling and more, at our sites. Our cubicles have control cabinet layout, consisting of hundreds of circuit boards for measurements, control and calculations. Our system also includes user interfaces such as HMI (Human Machine Interface), diagnostic tools and IT infrastructure and IT security. For this we utilize our in-house developed real-time platform MACH to meet the power industry’s standards. In this position you will have a bigger scope than the actual testing. You will be part of requirements, standards, test setups, evaluating test results and be included in the actual testing.
