In this role you will be responsible for leading supplier quality activities across Lyten’s global supply base—covering cathode active materials (CAM), graphite, copper foil, separator, electrolyte, and mechanical parts—to qualify, develop, and sustain a world-class supplier panel. Job Scope Lyten is seeking a Production Engineer with a specialization in automated industrial (battery) productions. As a Production Engineer (Pilot Production) you will stabilize, scale, and continuously improve pilot‑line processes that span electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, and formation & aging. Your mission is to translate cell designs and lab recipes into robust, traceable processes ready for industrialization at Northvolt gigafactories. You will work closely together with production, process, quality, and automation engineers to make sure the production process is achieving the required stability and is ready for transfer to gigafactory scale. You will ensure process and equipment meet availability and reliability and resolve production issues with a sense of urgency. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) · Own pilot-line selected production steps across Wet- and Dry Electrode, Assembly and Formation & Aging processes. Lyten Sweden is seeking a professional Quality Control Technician to join our R&D organization in Västerås. In this role you will be responsible for analysing materials, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products for R&D, production and external suppliers using a wide range of instruments. You will participates in problem solving, technical troubleshooting exercises and technical discussions where needed. Key responsibilities (including but not limited to) Write the testing plans for materials, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products Perform testing of control plan inspection items using a variety of laboratory instruments Perform data analysis/interpretation and report according to quality standards Be able to troubleshoot first of line problems arising on the instruments Drive method improvements; help update standard operating procedures as needed Perform regular (daily, weekly, monthly) preventive maintenance on instruments Become familiar with the fundamentals of quality assurance and quality control principles and relevant quality management system requirements (control plan, non-conformity management, deviation and change management, control samples and control charts, calibration management, ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO17025, etc.) Adhere to and ensure 5S and safety protocols are maintained within the laboratory work environment Always work with safety as first priority Requirements Qualifications and experience Bachelor´s degree (or technical school degree) in Chemistry or a technical field is preferred. Significant relevant previous laboratory and work experience. Hands-on experience using a set of relevant analytical instruments and measurement equipment. Experience within a quality control work environment is a plus. Curious, technically educated, and with an interest in a laboratory career in industry. Knowledgeable in Lean and six sigma Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology Specific skills Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus User experience with Office and JIRA software

Lyten Sweden is seeking a professional Senior Battery Simulation Engineer o join our R&D organisation in Västerås. The Senior Battery Simulation & Modelling Engineer will develop and validate advanced simulation models for battery cells, including performance, degradation, thermal, swelling, and mechanical behaviour. The role supports current NMC products, future battery chemistries, and customer-facing simulation solutions. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Battery Model Development Develop and maintain simulation models for battery cells, supporting current chemistry products and next-generation chemistries. Performance Modeling Develop and validate performance models, including ECM-based approaches, to predict battery behavior and support BMS applications. Lifetime & Degradation Modeling Develop and calibrate lifetime prediction models to accurately estimate battery aging, performance degradation, and end-of-life behavior. Thermal Modeling Develop 3D thermal simulation models to predict temperature distribution and support thermal management optimization. Swelling & Mechanical Modeling Develop swelling and mechanical models to predict cell expansion, deformation, and structural behavior throughout battery life. Safety & Venting Simulation Develop simulation models for vent deformation and pressure-related mechanical behavior to support battery safety assessments. Validation & Model Correlation Parameterize, validate, and continuously improve simulation models using experimental and product validation data. Customer Model Delivery Deliver validated simulation models to customers and provide technical support for performance, lifetime, thermal, and mechanical analyses. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with cell design, materials, testing, and customer teams to support battery development and commercialization programs. Requirements Educational background and previous experience required for the role. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor or higher in Electrochemistry/chemistry/material/mechanical or a related discipline 8+ years of experience in lithium-ion battery development and modeling. Strong industrial experience supporting automotive, ESS, or other advanced battery programs. Proven experience developing simulation models for rechargeable battery systems. Experience working directly with OEM customers and customer-facing engineering projects. Experience with prismatic cell development is highly preferred. Specific skills Strong expertise in electrochemical, thermal, degradation, swelling, and mechanical battery modelling. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, COMSOL Multiphysics, LS-DYNA, and ANSYS simulation tools. Experience in model parameterization, validation, optimization, and correlation with experimental data. Knowledge of multi-physics simulation and battery safety analysis is highly desirable.
