Ansvarsområden Om rollen I detta uppdrag kommer du att befinna dig i teknikens hjärta och agera som en viktig brygga mellan hård- och mjukvaruutveckling. Du kommer bland annat att: Driva, utföra och dokumentera labbtester av hårdvara och funktionalitet på både apparat- och systemnivå. Designa och skapa testplaner som möter branschstandarder och interna krav. Arbeta mycket "hands-on" med idrifttagning, felsökning, installation av testriggar (wet rig) och uppdatering av mjukvara (flashing). Samarbeta nära mjukvaruteamet genom att ta fram, tolka och granska tekniska funktionsbeskrivningar och specifikationer. Kvalifikationer Din profil För att bli framgångsrik i detta konsultuppdrag är du proaktiv, strukturerad och van vid att ta egna initiativ för att hitta lösningar. "Detection and Quantification of Multiple Faults in Residential Heat Pumps” Would you like to work with one of Sweden's strongest brands and be involved in developing the next generation of NIBE products and smart heat pumps? NIBE AB is now recruiting a talented student with a master degree in science to work as an industrial PhD student on smart heat pumps. We are now looking for an industrial PhD student, interested in technology and wants to work on developing sustainable climate solutions. The position will be shared in between Sweden and France. At NIBE's head office, you will work in an international environment with a world-class product portfolio that requires both intensive and high-quality product development. Description of the subject and the position To make these smart heat pumps a reality a heat pump manufacturer, an electricity utility company and a technical university specialized in energy efficiency systems have joined forces to propose an industrial postgraduate student position. Based on previous works, the PhD student will explore the real time assessment of residential heat pump operation, facing one major or several simultaneous faults. This work will include theoretical analysis of heat pump operation, detailed modelling using Dymola software and laboratory testing of real systems installed in climatic chambers. The PhD student will beneficiate from the knowledge and experience of the three partners and be given a unique chance to acquire strong and valuable expertise in control systems, thermodynamics, heat transfer, laboratory testing and modelling. Mines Paris – PSL University Mines Paris is a renowned engineering school and part of the French “Paris Sciences et Lettres” (PSL) University, located in the city Centre of Paris. Mines Paris trains engineers and hosts several research centers, one focusing on energy efficiency of systems. The high-level research centers of Mines Paris attract highly qualified PhD and professors and will serve as the academic supervisor and ensure support at a high scientific level. General features about the overall organization The PhD student will be employed by NIBE AB and administratively attached to Mines Paris which will serve as the entity behind the academic examination. Most of the experimental and practical work will be done on the test benches at EDF R&D facilities near Paris. The PhD director will be a professor from Mines Paris and the PhD student will beneficiate from the support of one supervisor from EDF R&D and one supervisor from NIBE AB. The PhD study is planned for three years. Part of the work, around 50%, will be done at NIBE AB premises in Markaryd. The remaining time will be spent in France, at EDF R&D premises at Les Renardières and at Mines Paris. The exact time share in between the three locations is to be defined as well as its distribution over the 3 years. Would you like to play a key role in ensuring that innovative heat pump solutions meet European safety requirements? Bosch Thermoteknik in Tranås is looking for a structured and driven LVD Certification Specialist to strengthen our product development organization. In this role, you will be our internal expert and key contact for electrical safety and certification under the Low Voltage Directive. Your technical expertise and ability to interpret and apply complex standards will directly support the successful certification and market launch of our products. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our heat pumps meet all relevant electrical safety requirements and successfully complete the certification process for CE marking. Your responsibilities • Define certification and testing requirements for products and components. • Review supplier certificates, technical documentation, and test reports to ensure compliance with applicable standards. • Lead technical discussions with suppliers, laboratories, and external test institutes regarding requirements, test methods, and results. • Plan, perform, and document LVD and electrical safety tests in our internal laboratory. • Coordinate testing activities with external certification bodies and test institutes. • Perform practical testing according to relevant sections of EN 60335-2-40, including clauses 10, 11, 13, and 19. • Manage our Customer's Test Facility agreement, including annual audits, documentation, and calibration of test equipment. • Support development teams throughout the product development process and proactively identify potential certification risks. • Act as the company expert for LVD certification and ensure that our products receive final approval. Qualifications What distinguishes you You are structured, analytical, and comfortable working with detailed technical standards and documentation. You enjoy solving complex technical questions and can communicate requirements clearly to different stakeholders. About the Survey & Design team: The Survey & Design team is part of the Acquisition Area of Aira, which is responsible for the entire sales journey, from lead generation to installed heat pump. Our team sits right in the middle of this, with a critical mission: Build tools that help Aira qualify, size, and design the right energy solution for every home — tools that get more accurate with every installation we do. When selling a heat pump system, you need to know what size of heat pump should be installed and whether any radiators need replacing. If we over-estimate this number, the customer will be paying more than they have to. If we under-estimate this number, we could install a heat pump that is unable to heat our customers' homes. Getting it right is crucial for both conversion and fast, efficient installations. And Aira is uniquely positioned to solve this: we own the entire feedback loop, from qualification through to monitoring the installed heat pump. About the role: Your main stakeholders are our Design Engineers, who work in customers' homes, but our tools impact almost every role in the Aira sales funnel, from Qualification, Sales, and Design all the way to Procurement, Planning, and Installation. You'll own the product direction for these tools across all our markets (UK, Germany, and Italy), offices (Stockholm and Helsingborg), and the factory (Poland). You'll lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and a designer, with a high degree of autonomy. About the role & the team As our iOS Engineer, you’ll help shape our new app and its extensions, including the Apple Watch app. The app already supports tens of thousands (soon hundreds of thousands 😉) customers in optimizing their energy use. Our iOS app is built with SwiftUI and Swift concurrency, connected to a newly developed backend, using Apple’s latest frameworks. The minimum iOS version is 16 (but is being bumped to 18 this fall). You’ll work closely with our iOS Staff Engineer, Product Manager, and the rest of the app team to define and deliver on our roadmap, reporting to the Engineering Manager. We follow a collaboration-first policy, working three days a week from our Alvik office. We are now looking for a Fluid & Coolant Specialist to join our R&D team in Enköping, Sweden. The role In this role you will design and test fluid handling systems and components, focusing on thermal performance, flow, pressure, and materials compatibility. Key responsibilities: • Evaluate and select fluids/coolants based on thermal, hydraulic, electrical, chemical, environmental, and reliability requirements. • Continuously monitor the market for existing and emerging coolant technologies. • Characterize and assess fluid properties including viscosity, density, thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, dielectric strength, vapor pressure, and electrical conductivity. • Define qualification methodologies and perform verification testing of new fluids. • Define and execute material compatibility testing with metals, polymers, elastomers, adhesives, coatings, and electronic materials. • Investigate coolant ageing, contamination, corrosion mechanisms, and degradation effects throughout product lifetime. • Define and perform electrohydrodynamic pumping performance testing for new fluids. • Support mechanical and electrical engineering teams in material selection and fluid-related design decisions. • Maintain and continuously develop a database of fluid properties, compatibility data, and test results. • Assess environmental, health, safety, and regulatory aspects of coolant candidates, including sustainability and recyclability considerations. • Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering decisions related to cooling technologies, fluid selection, and system reliability. • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure integrated product performance. Required qualifications: • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or equivalent. • Knowledge of coolant chemistry, electrochemistry, thermophysical fluid properties, and material compatibility. • Understanding of liquid cooling systems, and heat transfer relevant parameters. • Experience in experimental testing and data analysis. • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. • Fluent in English.
