Commercial Manager - ZA Marketplace We are looking for a commercially-minded and analytically sharp Commercial Manager to help grow our Loans marketplace and deepen our partnerships across South Africa’s leading banks and lenders. You’ll report into the Head of Commercial and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Loans vertical strategy, managing high-value partnerships, and owning the commercial performance of the vertical. You must be comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing to drive forward initiatives that create value for both our nearly 7mn South African users and our lending partners. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role within a small but ambitious team - one that operates like a start-up but is backed by a global brand serving nearly 27 million users. If you're energised by the intersection of data, partnerships, strategy and fintech innovation, and want direct accountability for revenue growth and commercial performance, this role is for you. If you're looking for a structured role with a clear playbook and defined lanes, it isn't. Key Responsibilities * Own the commercial performance of the Loans vertical, including revenue growth and partnership performance of your lending partners * Lead execution of the commercial strategy for the Loans vertical, with oversight from the Commercial Lead * Build and maintain deep relationships with our lending partners covering South Africa’s biggest banks and fintech lenders - understanding their goals and challenges to unlock long-term value * Negotiate commercial agreements with both new and existing partners, ensuring ClearScore captures appropriate value for the services we deliver * Use internal and external data to identify opportunities, track performance, and forecast impact * Lead initiatives to improve the user experience and partner outcomes of the Loans Marketplace, working closely with product, engineering and marketing * Prioritise commercial initiatives based on expected value to users, partners, and ClearScore revenue Requirements Must-haves: * 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: * Strategy consulting; or * Fintech, consumer finance, banking, or B2B tech platform environments * Demonstrated success in commercial or partner-facing roles - such as sales, account management, or business development, with direct ownership of revenue targets or commercial outcomes * Strong commercial negotiation skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders * Strong proficiency using analysis, data platforms and Excel to extract insights, model outcomes, and support commercial decision-making * Proven ability to operate autonomously – self-assessing and directing priorities, driving key outcomes and managing a partner portfolio independently. * Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for problem-solving and innovation Nice-to-haves: * Experience in a high-growth or tech-driven environment * Exposure to product or platform-driven commercial models * Direct exposure to Fintech or traditional lending sectors is a plus Why ClearScore? Our TP Operations Executives play a vital role in supporting and managing our Transport Partners (TPs), the driving force on the supply side of our business. They act as a crucial link between AnyVan and our TP network, ensuring we attract, onboard, and retain high-performing partners who deliver exceptional service to our customers. What you’ll be doing: Recruitment and onboarding * Source and recruit new TPs in the French market. Get them set up on our portal and app so they know exactly how to bid on and complete jobs. * Deliver training and support to help them succeed and meet AnyVan’s quality standards. Support & Build Relationships * Be the friendly, reliable point of contact for our TPs – helping with questions about accounts, jobs, or how to use the platform. * Keep up-to-date lists of who’s available, where they’re based, and what jobs they can cover. * Build trust with both TPs and customers by solving problems quickly and keeping everyone informed. Keep Things Running Smoothly * Assign jobs to the right TPs, negotiating rates so everyone’s happy. * Manage quotes and make proactive calls to secure the best deals for both TPs and AnyVan. * Keep an eye on TP performance – stepping in if there are issues like low feedback scores or compliance concerns. * Tackle compliance and service quality issues head-on to reduce cancellations and keep standards high. * Make sure all regular TP account management tasks are ticked off on time. From the moment a customer books, you’re accountable for delivering a great experience, keeping our transport-partner network strong and reliable, and running the operation profitably all the way through to a completed move. You’ll be the single owner of how France performs day to day, leading a multi-site, French-speaking teams based in Cape Town and Senegal. It’s hands-on, commercial and high-impact: the decisions you make are felt directly by customers, by our transport partners, and on the bottom line. It's one of our fastest-growing markets and we’re investing to scale it. That’s where you come in. What you'll do: Lead the French customer operations * You’ll run a French-speaking customer service team across phone, WhatsApp, live chat and email, making sure customers can reach us quickly and leave happy. * You’ll own the end-to-end experience: resolving complaints, handling damage claims and refunds quickly and fairly, and keeping our reputation strong on Google and Trustpilot. * You’ll also lead the team through process improvements as the market grows, and keep a tight grip on refund and damage-claim risk. Build and lead the transport-partner network * You’ll grow and manage the supply base that keeps France running. * That means recruiting and onboarding new transport partners, keeping existing partners engaged, well-supported and performing, and acting decisively when standards slip. * A strong, reliable network is the backbone of what we do. Lead and grow your team * You’ll be based in the office and on the floor with your team in Cape Town and just as effectively, you'll be leading the team in our Senegal office remotely. And your team is engaged and consistently hitting its numbers. What you'll bring: * Experience in the French consumer market, ideally in e-commerce, contact centres, transportation or logistics services * Experience in a scale up launching new products and services * Must be fluent in French and English with extensive experience working with customers in France versus french speaking countries. * Proven operations leadership in a high-volume, customer-facing environment, marketplace, logistics, contact centre, e-commerce or similar * A strong people leader you’ve built and led teams before, including managing people remotely and across multiple sites and can give concrete examples of building high performing teams * Commercial and data-driven, you make decisions from the numbers and care about margin as much as service quality * A hands-on operator, you build process, culture and performance from the front, and you’re comfortable owning the whole picture * You're constantly learning and don't just use AI to check your emails every day.
