YOUR MISSION As the Bid and Proposals Manager, you will lead and manage the development of compelling and LLPwinning bids for defence contracts in STARK’s Nordic entity. Reporting to the Managing Director of Nordics and International Bidding Director, you will be responsible to own and drive the end-to-end management of the bid process, ensuring compliance with the Shipley Method and implementing a robust gate review governance approach. You will be an anchor to our sales team in the Nordics. It is less about generating opportunities and more about capturing them in a disciplined and methodical way as well as to conduct market surveillance and to manage information. You will also be in charge of reporting our progress against sales targets to STARK’s central sales team and do regular reporting on our CRM tools. The project combines environmental analytical chemistry, wastewater and stormwater research, process understanding, and systems perspectives to support preventive and sustainable PFAS management. The PhD project is connected to the work package PFAS flows from land to sea, which focuses on identifying, mapping, and quantifying PFAS sources and transport pathways in urban water systems and coastal environments. The research will include targeted and non-targeted PFAS analysis in wastewater, stormwater, industrial effluents, and receiving waters. The research will also include the development of sector-specific PFAS fingerprints and mass-balance approaches. The doctoral student will work with advanced analytical methods including LC-MS/MS, combustion ion chromatography, extractable organofluorine (EOF), oxidation methods for PFAS precursors, and high-resolution mass spectrometry for suspect and non-target screening. Project description To invest in stocks or some other fluctuating commodity requires, in most cases, some mathematical model of risk, return (profit), or utility (some balance between risk and return). A classical model goes back to 1952 and Markowitz. Later, more advanced models go under the name Modern Portfolio Theory. Those models may be ill-posed, meaning that changes in data might result in very different investment strategies. One such example of ill-posedness is when some of the commodities are highly correlated.
