As a machine operator in the milling, bakery, and confectionery industry, you control and monitor machines that crush, grind, and mix grain, spices, and other raw materials for consumption or animal feed. You are also responsible for machines and lines that prepare dough, as well as shape and bake bread, pastries, pasta, chocolate, and confectionery. This role is entirely focused on machine operation and does not include the work of bakers or pastry chefs.
