The start date would be around March, but we are open to accommodating individual setups. For the best experience on all sides, we prefer an internship duration of 6 months. As an Experience Designer at Above, you'll craft meaningful experiences around interactive physical products and hardware, shaping how people see, touch, hear and feel the things they use every day. Our Experience Design team sits between Industrial Design, UX and Technology. We bring design and technology together from day one and prototype early and often, so physical products and the connected systems behind them feel like one seamless experience. You'll work in cross-functional teams with industrial and digital designers, technologists and engineers. Working closely with senior designers, you'll take ownership of defined parts of a project and grow your responsibility over time. Your work will range from designing detailed product interactions to exploring future scenarios and shaping experience visions. Above is looking for a Design System Specialist to help shape the next generation of complex digital products for global clients. This role sits at the intersection of visual craft, system thinking, and modern AI workflows. What you’ll do at Above * Lead the creation of scalable, robust design systems for complex enterprise products. * Use AI tools to generate and maintain documentation, usage guidelines, and developer specs. * Work with AI-assisted handoff tools to ensure pixel-perfect alignment between Figma and production code, including automated checks for accessibility and brand consistency. * Use generative scripts to map legacy patterns to new tokens and components, accelerating system adoption. You will get the chance to work on focused industrial design engagements, and equally integrate into larger, cross-functional project constellations as part of diverse, mixed-competency teams - acting as an ambassador of the industrial design discipline while collaborating with senior colleagues.
