Brillian is a digital solution house born in the AI era. We craft AI-driven business solutions that give our customers a real competitive edge, from early discovery to production-grade delivery. Our mission is to help organizations navigate the AI landscape with clarity and build scalable solutions that actually last. SO, WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? In short: curious, capable people who like building real things with smart humans (and smart machines). We work across different roles depending on what our customers need and what we’re growing next. A lot of our work is around AI engineering, data, and GenAI solutions, but we also have people growing the business, building partnerships, shaping delivery, and keeping the whole machine running smoothly. Typical profiles we often meet (and love) include: * AI Engineers / AI Scientists * Data-focused roles (engineering, analytics, ML) * Technical or strategic roles that are fluent in coaching, training and facilitating innovation * Design, delivery, and client-facing roles that help turn ideas into working solutions * Business, partnerships, and commercial roles that help us grow in the right direction Whatever your domain is, we’d love to hear from you, especially about: * Projects where you’ve made a real impact (bonus points if the solution survived production) * The highlights you’re most proud of * What kind of problems you want to solve next * What makes you tick as a professional 🙂 WHAT TO SEND US The best way to start is to share a few basics so we can get a clear picture of you and what you’re looking for: * Your CV (or LinkedIn profile) * A portfolio, GitHub, or case examples if relevant * A couple of words about what you’re looking for and where you think you could make a difference at Brillian We don’t always have a matching role starting immediately, but when the fit is right, we’ll stay in close contact and move quickly when something clicks! WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU APPLY: * We review open applications continuously * If we see a potential match, we’ll reach out for a quick intro chat * If the timing isn’t perfect yet, we’ll keep in touch and reconnect when a better-fitting opportunity opens up WHAT WE VALUE We’re not big on buzzword bingo. We value people who do great work and enjoy building things with others: * Solid experience in your field (whatever your role is) * Flexibility and a learning-by-doing mindset * Curiosity for human–AI collaboration and GenAI solutions * Clear communication and a collaborative way of working * Ownership: you care about outcomes, not just tasks WHAT BRILLIAN OFFERS Brillian is still small enough that your work won’t get lost in layers. You’ll see the impact in real customer outcomes, and you’ll have a genuine say in how we build our ways of working as we grow. * Meaningful, real-world work. Projects with forward-thinking customers, where we build things that get used (not just demoed). * High ownership. You’ll have room to shape the technical direction, make decisions, and build from the ground up when it makes sense. * A strong learning community. Senior colleagues, shared problem-solving, and continuous learning by doing. * A flexible, Finland-based setup. Hybrid work with flexibility built in, so you can focus when it matters. * A growth journey you can influence. We’re small and growing, which means you can help shape Brillian’s culture, practices, and future. * Fair monthly salary (this should be obvious). WHAT NEXT? Sounds like a place you could thrive in? Send your open application via the form below, we’d love to hear from you! Please note: we currently hire only within Finland and cannot offer visa sponsorship.
What if your next ML role started with messy data, cloud constraints, and a system that has to work in production (not just in a notebook)? At Brillian, that’s often where our work begins. We help companies figure out what’s actually worth building with machine learning, why it matters, and how to make it real in practice. We’re continuously looking to meet Machine Learning Engineers who enjoy building end-to-end solutions: data → features → models → deployment → monitoring. We don’t always have a matching project starting immediately, but when the fit is right, we’ll stay in close contact and move quickly when something clicks! WHAT OUR PROJECTS TYPICALLY LOOK LIKE You’ll work on greenfield and scaling-phase ML projects that create real business impact. Often, the biggest wins come from getting the data and cloud foundations right, so you’ll be close to those parts too. Depending on the client and project stage, you might be: * Turning business questions into ML-ready problem definitions and success metrics * Building and improving data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, validation) * Working with modern data platforms to make data usable for modeling and analytics * Designing feature pipelines and training/evaluation workflows that are reproducible * Training, evaluating, and iterating models with clear experiment tracking * Deploying models (batch and/or real-time) and integrating them into products and workflows * Setting up monitoring for data quality, drift, performance, reliability, and cost * Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to keep delivery grounded in real value WHAT WE VALUE (AND WHAT USUALLY WORKS WELL HERE) You don’t need to match a perfect checklist. We care about how you think, how you build, and how you make ML useful in real environments. * Strong engineering instincts and a bias for maintainable solutions * Data realism: you understand pipelines and data quality are part of the ML solution * Production mindset: you care about reliability, monitoring, and running systems over time * Cloud fluency: you can build and troubleshoot in modern cloud environments * Pragmatism: you can say “this shouldn’t be ML” when that’s the right call * Collaboration and clear communication across technical and non-technical teams And yes, practically speaking, experience in these areas helps a lot: * Python + ML foundations (modeling, evaluation, experimentation, feature thinking) * Data platforms and pipelines (SQL, transformations, orchestration, data quality checks) * Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and building in cloud-native ways * Shipping ML (APIs or batch jobs, containers, integrations into real systems) * MLOps basics (reproducibility, CI/CD for ML, model registry, monitoring) Bonus (nice to have): software generalist skills. Many projects include small “make it usable” tasks alongside ML: light UI work, internal tools, dashboards, or wiring outputs into user-facing workflows. WHAT WE OFFER * High-ownership work where you’ll help shape the solution, not just implement a spec * A team that values clarity and quality (and knows when “simple” beats “fancy”) * Hybrid setup from Helsinki or Tampere, with flexibility to focus when it matters * Salary typically €5,000–€7,000 per month, depending on experience and impact. WHAT NEXT? Not sure if you tick every box? That’s okay. We value strong thinking, solid engineering, and the ability to make ML useful in real environments more than buzzword coverage. You know the moment when the demo works, but production will not? That is where this role lives. At Brillian, we build AI solutions in a consulting environment. The work is client-facing and delivery-focused. We help teams make the right technical calls early and then implement them in a way that is secure, observable, and maintainable. We are continuously looking to meet AI Architects who can lead technical direction and still work hands-on with code when needed. We do not always have a matching project starting immediately, but when the fit is right, we stay in close contact and move quickly when something clicks! WHAT OUR PROJECTS TYPICALLY LOOK LIKE Most projects are about the system, not a single model choice. You will design the architecture and you will also build the critical parts that set the standard for the team. Depending on the client and the stage, you might: * Turn an unclear goal into a technical approach that can be delivered and operated * Define the first version of the architecture and implement reference code that proves the direction * Build cloud foundations with sane defaults for security, logging, monitoring, and cost controls * Set patterns for integrations, APIs, and data flows so the solution fits the client environment * Build LLM and ML components when they are the right tool, such as retrieval-based search, extraction, and workflow automation * Define evaluation and monitoring so quality, latency, and cost are visible and can be improved * Pair with engineers to unblock delivery and review critical code paths * Support early phases like scoping, feasibility checks, and clear technical communication to stakeholders WHAT WE VALUE * You make decisions and you can explain them clearly * You design for operability from day one, including security, monitoring, and cost * You stay pragmatic and you prefer patterns teams can own * You are comfortable switching between client discussions and building * You take responsibility for outcomes, not only architecture descriptions And yes, practically speaking, experience in these areas helps a lot: * Cloud architecture on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, networking, and containers * DevOps practices such as IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident readiness * Strong software engineering habits and comfort working in code, typically Python and often also TypeScript * Data foundations such as pipelines, transformations, quality checks, and access boundaries * Practical experience building LLM-powered features, especially retrieval, evaluation, and observability Bonus: you have built reusable templates, starter kits, or reference architectures that help teams deliver faster with consistent quality. WHAT WE OFFER * Consulting work with real ownership and a lot of technical influence * A team that values clarity, quality, and delivery that holds up in production * Hybrid setup from Helsinki or Tampere, with flexibility to focus when it matters * Salary typically €6,000 to €8,000 per month, depending on experience and impact * We’re small and growing, which means you’ll have a genuine say in how we build our tech, culture, and future! WHAT NEXT? Not sure if you tick every box? That’s okay. We value deep thinking and technical curiosity more than buzzword coverage.
