QA / Tester Location: Stockholm or Kalmar | Hybrid | Full-time We’re looking for a QA / Tester to join our tech team – and become our first dedicated QA person in Sweden. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys testing: understanding how things are supposed to work, trying to find where they don’t, and following an issue until it’s understood and resolved. At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how we work with QA going forward. Why Cherry Online? You’ll join an international company working with established brands within casino and sports betting, with products used across several markets. Our tech organisation is growing, but is still small enough for you to have real influence. Decisions are close to the teams doing the work, and there is room to suggest an improvement, try it and see it become part of how we work. For QA in particular, there is a lot still to build. You’ll have the chance to take ownership of an important area and help create a solid quality foundation as our products continue to develop. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Sweden and Belgrade, with occasional travel between our offices. What you’ll do You’ll work closely with our developers and product team, with a particular focus on our frontend products and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Your day-to-day work will include: Planning and carrying out manual testing Creating test cases based on requirements, designs and user flows Testing new features, releases and changes across our products Performing functional, exploratory, UI/UX and acceptance testing Testing mobile applications on iOS and Android Testing important user journeys such as registration, login and authentication Identifying, documenting and following up bugs and deviations Retesting fixes and making sure issues are properly resolved Keeping test cases, results and documentation structured and up to date Working closely with developers, Product Owners and other stakeholders throughout the development process You’ll also work together with our existing QA team in Belgrade, who currently have a stronger focus on backend testing. Help us build how QA should work This is a new role in the Swedish team, so you won’t be stepping into a completely finished QA setup. One of your first tasks will be to understand what we already have in place: existing tests, test protocols, products and ways of working. From there, we want you to help identify gaps and build a more structured approach to QA. That could mean improving test cases and documentation, introducing clearer testing processes and finding better ways to integrate QA throughout development rather than only at the end. There is already some automated testing in place, and over time we would like to develop this further. But this is not primarily an automation role. Manual testing will remain an important part of the job. Who we think you are You probably have around two years or more of experience in QA or software testing and are comfortable taking responsibility for your own work. For this role, we need you to have: Experience of manual software testing Experience of testing mobile applications on iOS and/or Android Experience of creating and working with test cases Knowledge of different testing approaches, such as exploratory, functional, UI/UX and acceptance testing A structured way of working and an eye for detail The ability to investigate problems independently and follow them through Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers and product colleagues Experience from iGaming, fintech or another regulated digital environment is a plus, as is experience of automated testing. If you have used AI to make your testing work smarter or more effective, we’d also be interested to hear how. The kind of person we think will enjoy this role You’re curious about how things work – and perhaps even more curious about how you can make them break. You don’t mind testing the same flow more than once. You understand that good QA sometimes means being systematic, persistent and patient enough to find the issue that everyone else has missed. At the same time, you’re comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and speaking up when something doesn’t look right. You don’t need everything to be perfectly defined before you start. This is a role where we want you to bring structure, take initiative and help us improve as we go. Interested? We’d love to hear from you. Öppen för alla Vi fokuserar på din kompetens, inte dina övriga förutsättningar. Vi är öppna för att anpassa rollen eller arbetsplatsen efter dina behov.

SENIOR APP DEVELOPER Location: Sweden | Hybrid | Full-time We are looking for a Senior App Developer to take ownership of our mobile applications within casino and sports betting. This is a role for someone who is still very much a developer – someone who enjoys coding, solving problems and exploring new technology – but who is also ready to take broader responsibility for how our apps are built, scaled and maintained. We already have several apps in production and are now building the next generation of our mobile platform. The aim is to create a technical foundation that can support several brands and markets, while still allowing each brand to have its own identity and user experience. THE ROLE You will be the senior technical person within our app development area, working alongside two developers who have solid development backgrounds but are less experienced specifically in app development. You will report to our Head of Development. Your responsibility will be to set the technical direction and make sure we are building something that works not only for the next release, but for where we want to go longer term. That includes architecture, technical choices, code quality, testing and release processes. It also means being hands-on. We are not looking for someone who wants to move away from development – quite the opposite. Our apps are currently built in Flutter, with native components for iOS and Android and integrations with web and backend systems. Experience with Flutter is a strong plus, but we are open to the right framework going forward – what matters most is solid experience with modern cross-platform mobile development and the judgement to choose the right tool for the job. The work varies over time. Right now, there is a strong focus on developing a new version of the app and creating a platform that can scale to more brands. At other times, the focus may shift towards new features, maintenance, framework updates or improving what is already there. WHAT YOU WILL WORK WITH You will take ownership of the architecture and technical structure of our cross-platform applications and help establish good practices for how we develop, test and release them. You will make technical decisions around architecture, packages, state management and platform integrations, while working closely with Product, UX, Brand Managers and other developers. Our apps communicate with backend and content systems through APIs, so experience of API integrations, backend communication and real-time data is an important part of the role. You will also need to understand the specific requirements of both iOS and Android, including App Store and Google Play processes. We operate in a regulated industry and different markets come with different requirements. You don't need to be a regulatory expert, but the technical solutions we build need to work within those conditions. On the product side, Product Owners and Brand Managers define what we want a feature to do. You will have considerable freedom and responsibility when it comes to deciding how we solve it technically. WHO WE THINK WILL DO WELL HERE You have several years of professional app development experience and are comfortable taking responsibility beyond your own code. You have strong experience with cross-platform mobile development – Flutter, React Native or similar – and a good understanding of mobile architecture, state management and testing. You have worked with apps in production and understand what it takes to build for performance, stability and scale. Experience with native development in Swift or Kotlin is useful, but not a requirement. More important is that you understand how a cross-platform framework interacts with the underlying iOS and Android platforms and know when a platform-specific solution may be needed. You are also comfortable working independently. You don't need someone to define every technical step for you, and you are happy to raise questions, suggest a different approach or take the lead when something needs to be solved. But independent doesn't mean working alone. We have few hierarchies and collaboration matters a lot to us. You will have technical responsibility within the app area, but we are looking for someone who enjoys discussing code, sharing knowledge and solving things together with other developers. And ideally, you are someone who genuinely likes being a developer – not just someone who happens to work as one. WHAT ABOUT GAMING EXPERIENCE? Experience from iGaming is a strong advantage, particularly because it is a fast-moving and highly regulated industry. Experience from fintech, other regulated digital products or high-traffic consumer applications can also be relevant. For the right developer, previous gaming experience is not a requirement. You do, however, need to be interested in the industry and comfortable working with products within regulated online gambling. HOW WE WORK Development is agile, with daily stand-ups involving developers and UX, as well as regular touchpoints between Product, Casino, Sports and other parts of the business. The wider development organisation is distributed across several locations, including Sweden and Belgrade, where part of our backend organisation is based. The culture is informal and technically curious. There are plenty of people here who genuinely enjoy code and technology, and there is room to challenge existing solutions, suggest something different and try new approaches. AI tools are already part of how we work. We use Claude and we expect you to be comfortable using AI where it makes sense. At the same time, being able to understand, review and take responsibility for the code remains just as important. THE CHALLENGE One of the more interesting problems you will work on is how to build a common mobile platform that can scale across several brands without making every app feel the same. We want to reuse what should be shared while still giving each brand room to create its own experience. Add different regulatory requirements, high expectations on performance and stability, and products where relatively small changes can have a significant effect, and there are plenty of technical problems worth solving. WHY JOIN? There is a lot of room to influence how we build things. The industry moves quickly, the products are technically demanding and you will be close enough to both Product and the business to see what your work actually changes. If you have an idea, there is usually a fairly short distance between discussing it, testing it and putting it into production. For someone who wants to remain hands-on while taking greater technical ownership, this is an opportunity to have a real say in how the next generation of our mobile products is built. The role is full-time and permanent, with a hybrid way of working. You will work with colleagues across our different locations and some travel is part of the role, including visits to Stockholm and Belgrade and company activities in Malta. It's a plus if you can come to our Kalmar office occasionally. English is our main working language, so Swedish is not required, however you need to hold a Swedish work permit, personal number and Bank-id. Warmly welcome with your application!
SENIOR PEOPLE & CULTURE LEAD Location: Sweden or Malta | Full-time | Reports to CEO Cherry Online is a Nordic group of online gaming companies with around 150 employees across several brands and locations. We have been in the industry for more than 13 years and operate in a number of regulated European markets. We like things straightforward, collaborative and close to the business. Good ideas matter more than titles, decisions don’t need endless layers, and if you see something that could be better, you’re encouraged to do something about it. We are now looking for a Senior People & Culture Lead to take responsibility for our people agenda across the group. This is a broad role for someone who knows HR well, enjoys working close to the business and is equally comfortable discussing organisational questions with the CEO as supporting a manager with a day-to-day people issue. THE ROLE We already have many of the basics in place. There is an existing People team, established HR processes and a new HR system that is being rolled out across the group. At the same time, there is work to do. Some processes need updating, others need to be used more consistently, and we want to create a clearer approach to areas such as leadership, performance, development, engagement and internal communication. Your first job will not be to arrive with a ready-made HR model. We want you to get to know the organisation, understand what works and what people value, and then help us decide what needs to develop. From there, you will set priorities and gradually build a People & Culture framework that works across different brands and locations – structured enough to give us consistency, but simple enough to fit an entrepreneurial business. You will report to the CEO as a part of the leadership team, work closely with our leaders and have responsibility for the existing People/administrative team. WHAT YOU WILL WORK WITH You will have overall responsibility for the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance, development, compensation and employee relations to offboarding. A large part of the role is about working through our managers. We want to strengthen how we lead, give feedback, develop people and handle performance across the organisation. This may include developing frameworks for salary reviews, coaching, mentoring and leadership development – and making sure they work in practice. You will also be a trusted advisor on organisational and people matters, including situations that require good judgement, discretion and sometimes the confidence to challenge. Internal communication is another part of the role. We see a close connection between how we lead people and how we communicate. You will help us make communication across the group clearer and more consistent, whether that means supporting leadership communication, preparing an all-hands or communicating change. You will also make sure our HR policies and practices meet relevant employment law requirements. We operate across several jurisdictions and have access to external legal expertise when local support is needed. And, like most organisations, we are looking at how AI can improve the way we work. We don't expect you to be an AI specialist, but we would like you to be curious about where it can make HR and communication simpler and better. WHO WE THINK WILL DO WELL HERE You are an experienced HR generalist who has previously held broad, senior HR responsibility. You are used to being both strategic and hands-on and don't need a large corporate structure around you to get things done. Experience from iGaming is important to us. Understanding the pace, culture and realities of the industry will make it much easier to succeed in the role. We may also consider someone from a fast-moving, entrepreneurial tech environment with a strong understanding of our industry. You have good knowledge of Swedish employment law and are comfortable working in an international organisation. Experience from Malta or other European jurisdictions is useful, but not essential. You also need to be a good communicator. Not in the sense of always having the perfect presentation, but in being able to explain things clearly, write well and adapt your communication to employees, managers and senior leaders. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is approachable and grounded. Someone who listens before changing things, builds trust easily and can handle sensitive situations with maturity and discretion. You need to be comfortable working independently, taking decisions and moving between high and low. There will be days when you discuss organisational development with the leadership team and days when a practical employee issue needs your attention. Usually, there will be a bit of both. Fluent English is required, and professional Swedish is strongly preferred. WORKING WITH US We are founder-led and have deliberately kept an entrepreneurial way of working as the business has grown. Decision paths are short, there is little interest in hierarchy for its own sake, and people are expected to take responsibility for their work. We also care about being a people-focused organisation. We have an open-door culture and want people to feel that they can raise questions, challenge ideas and talk to each other without unnecessary formality. The People & Culture function is still developing, which means there is considerable room to shape both the role and how we work. Over time, there is also potential for the position to develop into a broader Chief People/HR role. The position can be based in Sweden or Malta. We work in a hybrid way, but this is a people-facing role, so we expect you to spend time in our offices and with the teams. Travel between our locations, including Malta, Sweden and Belgrade, is part of the role. Interested? We would like to hear about your experience and, just as importantly, how you think about People & Culture in an entrepreneurial organisation. We look forward to your application!
