Klarna, briefly At Klarna, we’re building an everyday finance network, helping over 120 million consumers across 26 countries save time and money, and worry less about their finances. Working here means taking on problems most companies never get to solve, and being hands-on enough that the interesting part of the work lands with you, not someone else — you’ll build with AI, not watch it happen. This is the stretch zone. Come find out what you’re capable of. About the position Klarna’s teams make decisions every day about what to change in checkout, which customers to approve, and where to spend marketing budget. Each of those decisions needs someone who can say what the data shows and how far it can be trusted. As an Analyst, you’ll be that person for the team you join. You’ll start from a business question, find the data that answers it, and bring back a result that someone can act on. What you’ll do You’ll write SQL to answer questions from the teams you support, from a quick count to an analysis across several large tables. You’ll build and maintain dashboards and reports that teams use to track their own metrics. You’ll investigate when a metric moves unexpectedly and report the cause, not only the change. You’ll present findings to product, risk, or business stakeholders and recommend a specific next step. You’ll check data sources for errors and flag quality issues to the teams that own them. You’ll use AI tools in your analysis work and share what works with the people around you. Who you are You’ve spent 1–3 years working as an analyst or in a similar position, turning data into answers that a team acted on. You write SQL regularly to pull, join, and clean data. You’ve built dashboards or reports in a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. You explain a result, and its limits, in plain language to people who don’t work with data. You check your own numbers before sharing them, and you say so when the data can’t support a conclusion. You ask which decision an analysis is meant to inform before you start building it. Awesome to have You’ve used Python or R for analysis that goes beyond what SQL covers. You’ve designed or analyzed A/B tests. You’ve used AI tools to speed up analysis work, and you can show an example. You’ve worked in payments, banking, or e-commerce. A degree in a numerate subject such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics. Please include a CV in English. Concrete beats comprehensive — what you built, what it did, what it cost. About the role Every screen a consumer taps through, and every surface a merchant sees Klarna's name on, is a decision someone made — the layout, the wording, the visual identity holding it together. That someone is a designer, and at this level, the work spans both: shaping product flows people use every day, and shaping how Klarna looks and feels wherever it shows up. This is a general Senior Designer opening, not tied to one fixed team. Depending on need at the time of hiring, you could be placed on a product team working on a specific consumer or merchant flow, or on a brand-facing team shaping visual identity and campaigns — and your focus may shift as the business changes. Either way, you'll be expected to move between the two: designing a screen one week, and making sure a brand guideline holds up across a dozen touchpoints the next. What you'll do ● You'll design end-to-end product flows, from early concept through polished, shippable interfaces. ● You'll shape and apply Klarna's visual identity across the surfaces you own, keeping brand and product design consistent with each other. ● You'll prototype ideas quickly to test direction before committing engineering time to them. ● You'll work directly with product managers, engineers, and other designers to turn a rough problem into a specific, buildable solution. ● You'll use AI tools as part of your everyday design process, not as a separate experiment. ● You'll give and act on design critique, and hold your own work to the same bar you'd apply to someone else's. Who you are ● You've worked as a designer across both product and brand work, not just one of the two. ● You can take a flow from a rough idea to a finished, usable interface on your own. ● You understand how typography, layout, and visual identity carry through consistently across different formats and touchpoints. ● You use AI tools yourself as part of how you design, not just to talk about using them. ● You can explain a design decision — including the ones you rejected — to both designers and non-designers. ● You're comfortable moving between different kinds of design work as priorities shift. Bonus points for ● A degree in design, visual communication, or a related field. ● Experience designing for a regulated industry such as fintech or banking. ● Motion design or animation experience. ● Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
About the role Klarna runs on financial infrastructure that has to hold up against real attackers, not hypothetical ones. As an Engineer within the security track, you'll work on the systems and practices that keep that infrastructure safe - finding weaknesses before someone else does, and building the tools and controls that make the whole engineering organization more secure by default. You'll work closely with engineers across other teams, helping them understand risk in their own systems rather than just handing them a list of findings. What you'll do ● You'll look for vulnerabilities in Klarna's systems and help fix the ones you find. ● You'll build and maintain tools that make it easier for other engineering teams to write secure code. ● You'll review designs and code from other teams with security in mind, and flag risks before they ship. ● You'll help respond when something goes wrong, working through what happened and what needs to change. ● You'll use AI tools as part of your everyday workflow, not as a separate add-on step. Who you are ● You've written code in Java, JavaScript, or Python, whether through a job, an internship, or your own projects. ● You understand common security vulnerabilities and how attackers actually exploit them, not just their names. ● You can explain a security risk to another engineer in terms they can act on, not just flag it and move on. ● You're comfortable digging into a system you didn't build to understand how it works. ● You want regular feedback on your work and you act on it. Bonus points for ● A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. ● Experience with penetration testing, threat modeling, or security tooling. ● Participation in bug bounty programs or CTF competitions
