Triton Depth

About Triton Depth Triton Depth is a Danish defence technology company developing advanced maritime sensing and surveillance technologies. We bring together expertise in electronics, embedded systems, signal processing, and artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions for some of the most challenging problems in maritime security. We are a fast-growing, multidisciplinary engineering team working on technologies with real-world applications in defence and critical infrastructure protection. The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Signal Processing Engineer with a strong background in digital signal processing (DSP), preferably specializing in acoustics. You will work on complex signal-processing challenges, developing algorithms that extract meaningful information from real-world acoustic data. Your work will involve advanced mathematical modelling, spectral analysis, filtering, detection, and statistical signal processing. We are particularly interested in engineers who enjoy exploring signals, understanding their underlying physical characteristics, and pushing the boundaries of what can be extracted through classical signal-processing techniques. This is a research-intensive, hands-on engineering position with significant technical freedom and ownership. You will work closely with our embedded software, electronics, and AI teams, taking ideas from mathematical concepts through experimental validation and practical implementation. Key Responsibilities Research, design, and implement advanced digital signal-processing algorithms. Analyze complex acoustic signals in both time and frequency domains. Develop techniques for spectral analysis, digital filtering, noise reduction, and signal detection. Apply statistical signal processing and estimation theory to extract meaningful information from noisy measurements. Investigate new signal-processing approaches and evaluate their performance using real-world data. Develop efficient implementations of algorithms for practical applications. Design experiments, analyze results, and continuously improve algorithm performance. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary engineering team to integrate signal-processing solutions into operational systems. Qualifications We value technical ability, curiosity, and problem-solving skills more than specific degrees or years of experience. We would like you to have: An MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. A strong theoretical foundation in digital signal processing. Experience with spectral analysis, FFT, digital filters, and time-frequency analysis. Knowledge of statistical signal processing, detection theory, and estimation methods. Experience developing and evaluating signal-processing algorithms. Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and/or C++. Experience working with real-world measurement data, including noisy or low-SNR signals. The ability to independently investigate complex technical problems and develop practical solutions. It would be an advantage if you have experience with: Acoustic signal processing. Adaptive filtering and advanced noise-reduction techniques. Passive sensing systems. Real-time or embedded DSP. Advanced mathematical modelling and numerical methods. Signal processing within defence, aerospace, telecommunications, or scientific instrumentation. Academic research, including publications or a PhD in a relevant field. Experience in the defence industry is not required. We welcome candidates from both industry and academia, including researchers looking to apply their expertise to real-world engineering challenges. What We Offer Work on meaningful challenges. Contribute to advanced technologies addressing real-world security challenges. Technical freedom and ownership. Take responsibility for complex engineering problems, explore new approaches, and influence the technical direction of our products. From research to reality. See your algorithms move beyond simulations and become part of real systems deployed in demanding environments. A multidisciplinary engineering environment. Work alongside talented engineers specializing in embedded software, electronics, artificial intelligence, and systems engineering. A growing defence technology company. Join Triton Depth at an exciting stage, where individual contributions have a direct impact on the company's technology and future. Who You Are You are someone who genuinely enjoys understanding signals. You are curious about the information hidden within complex measurements and have the mathematical knowledge and practical skills to uncover it. You are equally comfortable exploring theoretical concepts, experimenting with algorithms, and analyzing real-world data. You enjoy difficult, open-ended technical challenges and take pride in developing solutions that work outside controlled laboratory environments. Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to turn advanced signal-processing research into technology with real-world impact. Apply If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Send us your CV and a short introduction describing your background and relevant experience. We are particularly interested in hearing about signal-processing projects, research, or technical challenges you have worked on. Location: Copenhagen, Denmark Employment: Full-time

We’re looking for a mechanical engineer to join us at Triton Depth in Copenhagen. I think this is a once-in-a-generation time to be building. There’s an urgent need to strengthen European defence, and small teams of talented engineers have a real chance to shape the systems that will be used for years to come. We’re building underwater sensor networks to help protect ports, coastlines and critical infrastructure. We need someone ambitious who wants to design the hardware, get it made, take it into the water and keep improving it. You should be excited by the prospect of having your work tested in some of the toughest engineering environments and used in some of the most contested parts of the world. Saltwater, pressure and months without maintenance make for interesting design problems. So does making something that people can deploy easily in difficult conditions. You’ll work directly with us on everything from housings and seals to buoy structures and deployment mechanisms. There will be decisions to make with incomplete information, and trade-offs between what we’d ideally build and what we can get working in time. We’re looking for someone with the judgement to make those calls and the practical skills to follow through. CVs are nice, but I’d much rather see some hardware you’ve built and hear why you built it that way. What was your part in it? What was difficult? What did you change after testing it? If that sounds like work you’d enjoy, send a short introduction and a few examples to our careers email. And if you know someone who would be a good fit, please pass this on.
