At Verda, we're building a full-stack AI cloud, covering everything from data centers and hardware to our own cloud platform that the world's leading AI teams use to do serious AI work. We strive to make a positive mark on the world through the infrastructure we build and give leading teams a service they can truly depend on. Headquartered in Helsinki, we operate globally with offices in London and San Francisco. Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished. About the role As Head of Product you own product direction and priorities for the cloud platform: which problems deserve our attention, what success looks like, and what we should stop doing. Your scope spans the experience that brings our cloud together: console, APIs, SDKs and CLI, identity and access, billing, and the shared capabilities behind our products. Product managers report to you, and you’ll build out the product team as we grow. Engineering leads across our products align with you on product questions. You take an active part in shaping product decisions and agree priorities and sequencing with engineering leaders, who own technical direction. You’ll work closely with Design, Data Analytics, Sales, Customer Support, and Product Marketing. We're looking for someone who knows this market, stays close to customers, and can turn that understanding into clear product priorities. You'll help us improve the platform, develop new capabilities, and grow the business by making Verda a product customers choose and keep using. Your responsibilities Set clear product goals: Translate company strategy into a small number of measurable cloud outcomes, then connect those outcomes to team roadmaps. Give teams enough clarity to make good decisions themselves. Stay close to customers and the market: Build a continuous loop of customer conversations, usage data, support feedback, and competitive research. Understand why people choose us, where they get stuck, and why they leave. Prioritise aggressively: Make the case for what comes next and what waits. Revisit assumptions as evidence changes, while keeping teams focused on stable goals. Make the commercial case for building, buying, or integrating capabilities with engineering. Own the business questions: Evaluate target users, demand, differentiation, pricing and packaging, and the economics of the opportunities we pursue. Work with commercial teams to turn those choices into a product customers adopt and pay for. Build out and lead the product team: Shape how product management works at Verda, and help leadership and teams see what good product work looks like. Stay involved through delivery: Turn opportunities into clear problem statements, scope, and success criteria. Work with engineering to sequence releases, expose dependencies, resolve trade-offs, and act on risks early. Track results during and after launch, and change course when they fall short. Improve the whole customer journey: Work with Design and engineering to make the platform work well for people and agents, from discovering capabilities and deploying workloads to managing access, understanding failures, and controlling spend. Partner with Product Marketing on launches, and use adoption, retention, usage, and revenue to assess the outcome. Use AI to multiply your impact: Make agents and AI tools part of how you research, analyse, prototype, and communicate. Keep improving your own workflows and share what works with the people around you. Your key competencies Direct product experience on an inference or AI developer platform, GPU cloud, or AI training infrastructure. You understand the customers, competitors, buying decisions, and economics of this industry, and have a clear view of where it’s heading. A numerical, data-driven approach to product management. You define success with concrete metrics, track them, and use them to make decisions. Broad product and business judgement, and a real interest in engaging with users. You can connect a platform-wide strategy to the details of an individual customer problem. Good product taste and a track record of making difficult prioritisation decisions and improving measurable customer or commercial outcomes. Experience building or leading a product team, and driving change in an organisation that is still learning what product management means. Strong execution skills. You turn ambiguous goals into scoped work, coordinate across teams, and follow through on commitments. Clear writing, good listening, and the ability to influence strong technical colleagues and senior leadership. Hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic workflows, including what agents need to use a cloud platform successfully. Some of our users are people, others are agents, and you can turn the needs of both into concrete product decisions. Nice to have A background in engineering or technical founding Experience improving a self-service developer product from first use through paid adoption and expansion Why Verda Cash and equity compensation along with local benefits. 40+ nationalities, with 6 different ones on the management team.
