Du samverkar nära kommunerna i Skaraborg, andra delregionala kommunalförbund, Västra Götalandsregionen, universitet samt regionala branschorganisationer och myndigheter. Rollen innebär också att företräda kommunalförbundet i nationella sammanhang och, tillsammans med förbundsdirektören, möta företagsledningar och näringslivsaktörer i frågor kopplade till större etableringar och strategiska kompetensförsörjningsinitiativ. Relationen till Högskolan i Skövde och andra lärosäten är prioriterad. Tillsammans med dina medarbetare samordnar ni kommunernas skol- och utbildningsfrågor och driver Skaraborgs gemensamma utvecklingsagenda inom utbildning och kompetens. Ni ansvarar även för gemensamma driftsuppdrag, såsom Skaraborgsgemensam gymnasieantagning. En stor del av verksamheten bedrivs inom strukturen Utbildning Skaraborg, som utgår från kommunernas samverkansstrategi med fokus på Fullföljd utbildning och Kompetensförsörjning. Uppdraget är både strategiskt och operativt och ger dig ett stort utrymme att forma och utveckla arbetet tillsammans med kommunerna. Du verkar i en regional kontext där Skaraborg har ett viktigt påverkansutrymme, och du behöver kunna se och agera utifrån både lokala, regionala och nationella perspektiv. Du arbetar tätt tillsammans med Skaraborgs skol- och utbildningschefer och deras chefs- och professionsnätverk, där flera av dina uppdrag initieras.
