Right now, we are looking for a Site Water Manager for our Mill Services team. Site Water Manager is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply, treatment, and optimization of water resources across the entire site, including external stakeholder collaboration. This role demands full autonomy in decision-making, extensive stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to optimizing water quality and infrastructure. The position requires expertise in managing high-value contracts, overseeing service providers, and driving innovative solutions to enhance sustainability and efficiency in water management. Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well. Drive performance optimization and strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce chemical use and costs, enhance sustainability, and align water management with business objectives through cross-functional collaboration. Våra ärenden kan röra många olika typer av verksamheter som påverkar vatten: utfyllnad, grävning t.ex. vid restaurering av vattendrag, vattenkraftverk, markavvattning, dikningsföretag, kusterosion, större infrastrukturprojekt, vattenskydd och uttag av yt- eller grundvatten för dricksvatten eller bevattning.  Du kommer främst att arbeta med grundvattenfrågor, men även bidra inom Vattenenhetens övriga arbetsområden vid behov. I rollen har du många kontakter, bland annat med kommuner och kommunala bolag, företag, markägare, konsulter, SGU, SGI, Trafikverket, Naturvårdsverket, Jordbruksverket, Mark- och miljödomstolen, Havs- och vattenmyndigheten, andra länsstyrelser samt allmänheten. About the job About the Company The WASH Governance Group at the Swedish Environmental Research Institute, IVL, is looking for an Expert to work on different water and sanitation programs in the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) region from our office in Amman, Jordan. IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute is an independent research organization headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with around 500 experts working across environment and sustainability. The WASH Group is a global team of nearly 20 colleagues based in Stockholm, Bogotá, Amman, Mumbai, and other locations. The WANA office in Amman consists of a small team on site, working in a shared co-working environment. Together, we combine research, technical expertise, and international collaboration to strengthen sustainable and resilient water and sanitation services. About the Role The Expert will be responsible for implementation and development of water governance related projects in relation to resilient water supply and sanitation. This includes knowledge development and research functions, as well as capacity building, technical support and advice on governance related to water supply and sanitation issues; responsible for project development and development of methodologies, tools and knowledge products, the position also include project management, when required. The position is a full-time role. Responsibilities Support the implementation of programmes for the WANA Region, in coordination with the rest of the team in WANA and Stockholm. (Approx. 80% of the time), focused on climate resilience and systems strengthening for water and sanitation services. Contribute to the implementation of other programs in the water and sanitation department outside the WANA Region (Approx. 20% of time). Contribute to the thematic development of IVL´s portfolio in the areas of resilient water supply and sanitation governance. The group has an extensive national and international collaboration network.   Subject description   Urban Water Engineering encompasses the entire urban water system (storm drains, drinking water supply and wastewater) with respect to collection, transport and treatment, as well as organisation and planning. The research aims to encourage a strong economy, clean environment and the wise use of resources, while preserving the public’s health and safety.   Project description   Stormwater carries a variety of pollutants from urban environments, posing major challenges for the protection of surface waters. Urban drainage infrastructures such as gully pots and stormwater ponds are critical to mitigate these challenges. Over time, the accumulation of sediments and associated contaminants in these infrastructures lead to an impaired performance and thus requiring routine and environmentally safe maintenance operations. As the use of urban drainage infrastructures expands, the mass of sediments and associated contaminants retained in such infrastructure will continue to grow, amplifying both management challenges and potential environmental risks. Fully characterising these challenges within a wider technical and socio-economic context is essential to ensure that the accumulation of sediments prevents–rather than simply defers– their discharge to coastal environments. Addressing this need is the central aim of this project, responding directly to the needs of municipalities, authorities and practitioners for evidence-based tools, clear governance and legal guidance, environmentally responsible maintenance methods and sustainable financial models, and contributes to reducing land-based pressures on coastal and marine environments through system-level transformation.   The work within the project includes the evaluation and development of technical solutions for operation and maintenance of urban drainage infrastructures as well as detailed characterisation of the waste streams generated from maintenance operations. Within this project, the postdoc will be involved in collaboration with stakeholders in the water and wastewater industry and will communicate results both with the industry and international researchers through well-established competence network. Duties   As a Postdoc you independently plan and carry out your research work. Further tasks include the writing of scientific papers and the participation in Swedish and international conferences. You may also have the opportunity to teach in undergraduate courses and administrative tasks may be included (up to 20% of fulltime). You will have two supervisors who will support you. The research work for this project will specifically include experimental work.   Qualifications   In order to be eligible for employment as postdoc you must have a PhD or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD in the field of water and environment, natural resources engineering, civil engineering or environmental chemistry. A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline provides a useful qualification. Candidates who have been awarded a doctoral degree at an earlier date may also be considered if there are special grounds, for example, different types of statutory leave of absence.   The applicant should have the ability to work independently and take own initiative as well as being able to independently address new research areas. The group's overall goal is to contribute to the development of sustainable urban water systems.     Subject description   Urban Water Engineering encompasses the entire urban water system (storm drains, drinking water supply and wastewater) with respect to collection, transport and treatment, as well as organisation and planning. The research aims to encourage a strong economy, clean environment and the wise use of resources, while preserving the public’s health and safety.   Project description   Stormwater transports a wide range of pollutants from urban environments to receiving waters, posing major challenges for the protection of surface waters and coastal ecosystems. Urban drainage infrastructures, such as gully pots and stormwater ponds, play a critical role by retaining sediments and associated contaminants. However, their performance depends on effective operation and maintenance (O&M), which in practice is often reactive or based on fixed schedules, despite large spatial and temporal variability in sediment accumulation. This PhD project is part of a larger interdisciplinary research initiative aiming to enable a transition towards more data-driven and environmentally responsible maintenance of urban drainage infrastructures.    The research work will focus on developing a data-driven understanding of sediment accumulation processes in urban drainage infrastructures. This includes long-term monitoring using high-resolution sensors to capture sediment dynamics across rainfall events and seasons. Based on these data, predictive models will be developed to estimate sediment accumulation and infra-structure’s remaining functionality. The results will support more effective maintenance strategies by identifying when and where maintenances are needed to maximise environmental performance and operational efficiency. Within this project, the postdoc will be involved in collaboration with stakeholders in the water and wastewater industry and will communicate results both with the industry and international researchers through well-established competence network. Duties   As a Postdoctoral researcher you independently plan and carry out your research work. Further tasks include the writing of scientific papers and the participation in Swedish and international conferences. You may also have the opportunity to teach in undergraduate courses, and administrative tasks may be included (up to 20% of fulltime). You will have two supervisors who will support you. The research work for this project will specifically include field sampling work.   Qualifications   In order to be eligible for employment as postdoc you must have a PhD or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD in in the field of water and environment, natural resources engineering, civil engineering or environmental chemistry. A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline provides a useful qualification. Candidates who have been awarded a doctoral degree at an earlier date may also be considered if there are special grounds, for example, different types of statutory leave of absence.   The applicant should have the ability to work independently and take own initiative as well as being able to independently address new research areas. Good oral and written skills in English are essential to facilitate presentation of research outcomes in international conferences and scientific papers. We are looking for a Senior Production Planning Manager to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. Purpose and Goals In this role, you will take ownership of developing and scaling Candelas global production planning as we prepare for multi-site manufacturing. You will build the structure and processes needed to support our continued growth, ensuring alignment across Sourcing, Production, and Logistics so that production runs smoothly and on schedule. You will also strengthen planning tools and workflows, using advanced Excel models while supporting the transition of planning processes into Odoo. You will work closely with a production administrator in Rotebro and a global controller, reflecting the close link between production planning and financial performance. The role will be an important part of the Operations management team as Candela expands its global production footprint. Your core responsibilities will include: Create, update, and monitor the daily/weekly/bi-weekly and long-term production plan based on manning capacity, material availability, R&D and ME releases. Create KPI and planning reports to the COO and participate as support at performance reviews with the CEO. Analyze stock levels, anticipate shortages, and alert Procurement before issues escalate. Ensure production orders, in Odoo, are created, sequenced, and closed correctly. Track production KPIs and flag risks early. Work closely with the Production team to challenge and adjust priorities when things shift. Prepare planning reports in Excel and support the migration of these workflows into Odoo. Follow up on critical ongoing production activities and keep teams aligned with deadlines. Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes. What are we looking for? Role purpose You will work together with our project team as an owner for Mechanical design -taking a data-centre project from early concept through detailed design, procurement, construction support and handover, while staying aligned to EcoDC’s reference architectures and governance. You’ll lead technical due diligence (TDD) for mechanical scope, drive vendor selection, and make pragmatic trade-offs across performance, resilience, maintainability and cost.
