Historiska institutionen söker två studenter vid Lunds universitet som vill arbeta 20 % som projektassistenter i forskningsprojekt med fokus på hushållsekonomi, förmögenheter och arv i ett historiskt perspektiv. Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen Anställningarna är knutna till forskningsnoden HEIRS, som är särskilt inriktad på forskning om hushållsekonomi, förmögenheter och arv i ett historiskt perspektiv. Vid HEIRS bedrivs för tillfället flera olika forskningsprojekt, däribland GeneaLogies of Old Wealth (GLOW), Förmögenheternas geografi, Fideikommiss i Sverige under 400 årsamt ett mindre projekt om släkt och jord i Sverige under 1900-talet. Projekten involverar flera olika forskare, både vid Lunds universitet och andra lärosäten i Sverige och utomlands. Som projektassistent vid HEIRS knyts du under anställningstiden till flera av de pågående projekten och bistår genom att inventera, excerpera och genomföra enklare analys av olika källmaterial. Du kommer att arbeta inom flera projekt och delvis tillsammans med andra amanuenser och forskningsassistenter. Nära kopplat till HEIRS finns även en seminarieverksamhet ihop med ekonomiskhistoriska institutionen i Lund (seminariet Arbete & försörjning) där du förväntas delta (3-4 seminarier per termin). Forskningsnoden HEIRS är nyinrättad och som projektassistent kommer du vid sidan om det praktiska forskningsarbetet vara en viktig del i att utveckla verksamheten vid HEIRS för framtiden. Huvuddelen av arbetet kommer att vara förlagt till Historiska institutionen i Lund, men enstaka insatser kan också komma att genomföras på arkivinstitutioner inom Sverige. Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden Arbetsuppgifterna för denna anställning innefattar: systematisk insamling av uppgifter ur i huvudsak handskrivna källmaterial kopplade till olika forskningsprojekt transkribering av handskrivet källmaterial och kontrolläsning av transkriberingar inventering av olika källmaterial och enklare databasbearbetning sammanställning av forskningslitteratur förberedande analysarbete stödjande av forskningsmiljön HEIRS och utveckling av dess aktiviteter Arbetsuppgifterna omfattar dels övergripande utveckling av forskningsnoden HEIRS, dels forskningsuppgifter inom ett par av de projekt som pågår vid HEIRS. Dessa berör teman som hushållsekonomi, adel, eliter, bönder, förmögenheter, jordägande och fideikommiss. Projekten har en kvantitativ metodologisk utgångspunkt men innefattar också fallstudier och mer kvalitativa ansatser. Ett ekonomiskt grundperspektiv finns i alla projekten, men det kombineras med socialhistoriska, kulturhistoriska och rättshistoriska perspektiv. Som amanuens kommer du under din anställning arbeta med flera olika projekt. Du kommer ibland arbeta på egen hand med dina arbetsuppgifter, ibland ihop med andra projektmedlemmar. Det är därför viktigt att du både kan arbeta självständigt och samarbeta med andra. Kvalifikationer Behörig att anställas som amanuens är den som aktivt bedriver studier på grund- eller avancerad nivå vid aktuell fakultet och som ännu inte tagit ut sin examen. Krav för anställningen är att du: är antagen till och ska läsa en utbildning vid Humanistiska och teologiska fakulteterna under höstterminen 2026 och vårterminen 2027 har fullföljda studier om minst 60 hp i historia har mycket goda kunskaper i svenska, i tal och skrift har goda kunskaper i engelska, i tal och skrift har förmåga att arbeta självständigt och strukturerat har god samarbetsförmåga Meriterande för anställningen är att du: har bedrivit eller bedriver studier på kandidat- eller masterprogrammet i historia har intresse för HEIRS forskningstematik, det vill säga hushåll- och familjerelationer, egendom och arv i ett historiskt perspektiv har dokumenterad erfarenhet av att tyda handskrivet källmaterial (exempelvis kurser i paleografi eller erfarenheter av att arbeta med handskrifter på annat sätt) har erfarenhet av att arbeta med kvantitativ datainsamling och analys har erfarenhet av att arbeta med databaser, särskilt i Excel har erfarenhet av släktforskning eller personhistorisk forskning har erfarenhet av att arbeta inom ett forskningsprojekt, exempelvis genom tidigare erfarenheter som praktik, assistenttjänster eller liknande Övrigt Anställningen är tidsbegränsad under 10 månader med planerat startdatum 2026-09-15 eller enligt överenskommelse. Den avser omfattning om 20 procent av heltid. Anställningen får inte påverka amanuensens studier negativt och får inte kombineras med andra anställningar. We are seeking an ambitious applied researcher who wants to work at the forefront of data-driven nutrition and health. This is a unique opportunity to bridge mathematics, statistics, AI, and biomedical research in a highly interdisciplinary research environment. About us Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre (FCC) is a leading research centre in industrial mathematics, modelling, simulation, optimisation, and data analytics. We operate at the interface between academic research and industrial needs, often in interdisciplinary projects where mathematics, data, and domain expertise meet. Together with the nutrition research group led by Professor Rikard Landberg at Chalmers University of Technology, we conduct advanced research in data-driven nutrition, health, and food science. With large-scale diet and health data, omics data, biomarkers, digital food and health services, we establish predictive models for evaluation of the role of diet in health and disease and establish personalized dietary strategies for more effective disease prevention. In many cases, the work involves time series data, dynamic processes and phenomena, where both methods and interpretation must account for temporal dynamics. Data typically comes from intervention studies conducted in Gothenburg and or from large cohorts and biobanks from international collaborators. To secure and further develop this important collaboration, we are now recruiting an applied researcher with a strong quantitative profile and interest in nutrition, health, or medicine. Your role As an applied researcher in this area, you will: Act as a key person in the collaboration between FCC and the nutrition research group at Chalmers. Lead and conduct research projects in data-driven nutrition, such as:analysis of time series data and dynamic processes, where signals and responses evolve over time. statistical modelling, AI, and machine learning on large epidemiological cohorts, diet and health data analysis of omics data (metabolomics, proteomics, microbiome, etc.) development of predictive dynamical models and digital decision-support tools for nutrition and health method development in causal inference, integration of heterogeneous data sources, uncertainty quantification Work with a wide range of data types, for example dietary records, biomarkers, omics data, registry data, and sensor data such as CGM measurements (continuous glucose monitoring), activity trackers, and other wearable sensors. Serve as a bridge between domain researchers (nutrition, medicine, food science) and quantitative experts (mathematics, statistics, AI&ML, systems engineering). Supervise, collaborate, and support PhD students and postdocs involved in joint projects. Your profile We are looking for someone who: Holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Automatic Control, Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Has experience in data-driven research, preferably related to biomedicine, nutrition, epidemiology, food science, or public health. Is proficient in modern statistical modelling, AI & machine learning methods (e.g. system identification, regression models, mixed-effects modeling, Bayesian methods, deep learning, variational autoencoders, generative AI). The project will be conducted in close collaboration with the Interaction Design and Software Engineering division at the Computer Science and Engineering department. We are looking for an ambitious and analytical postdoc to join our team. About us The Department of Technology Management and Economics conducts research and education at the intersection of technological development and management/policy. The division of Supply & Operations Management (SOM) performs research, education and outreach activities related to logistics, operations management, and industrial marketing and purchasing. All of these areas relate to the broader field of supply chain management. Our research is empirical and problem-oriented, with strong emphasis on theoretical, industrial, and societal relevance. The Interaction Design and Software Engineering division conducts research and education in both Interaction Design and Software Engineering. About the research project This 2 year funded Postdoc project investigates how AI‑supported decision-making reshape collaboration, trust, and information sharing in a business-to-business context. Focusing on real-world supply chain management and logistics settings, it examines how trust in AI and between organizations influences data sharing, coordination, and joint efforts toward zero‑emission systems. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, the project develops and tests a practical framework for “trust calibration” in AI‑supported collaboration, helping organizations understand when to rely on AI, when to verify its recommendations, and how to design governance structures for responsible and effective collaboration. We have a pool of interview data to begin the project. Who we are looking for The following requirements are mandatory: A doctoral degree in supply chain management, operations management, information systems, or a related field (or an equivalent foreign degree). About the research project Project: Practice-based school research in mathematics education Since 2017, Chalmers has been a part of the national initiative on practice-based school research within the framework of ULF (Education, Learning & Research, ulfavtal.se). The purpose of the initiative is to strengthen the long-term development of the Swedish school system and the teacher and preschool teacher education programs through deepened collaboration around practice-based research. Researchers in mathematics education at the Department of Mathematical Sciences have participated in several research projects that, among other things, have investigated the effects of test-based learning, the use of vertical surfaces, and student-generated clues for solving problems. The projects have been initiated and implemented in close collaboration with teachers at the training schools affiliated with Chalmers' teacher education program, Learning and Leadership. The overarching goal of the project is to further deepen the collaboration around practice-based school research together with our training schools. To make this possible, a postdoctoral position is planned with the assignment to, in close dialogue with principals and teachers, identify challenges within mathematics teaching, formulate research questions based on these, and carry out the research projects together with the school's teachers. The Speech and Language Pathology unit of the Health and Rehabilitation department has the major task of being responsible for a four-year undergraduate Speech and Language Pathology programme. The unit also gives courses on the graduate level and engages in research in the subject of Speech and Language Pathology. The unit consists of about fifteen lecturers and researchers and six doctoral students. All of these are engaged in instruction in the Speech and Language Pathology programme and may serve as supervisors for projects on the graduate and doctoral level. Teaching and research included in this position are to focus on developmental speech and language disorders, and thereby supplement and reinforce existing resources at the Speech and Language Pathology unit. Duties Work-related duties primarily involve responsibility for teaching on the undergraduate and graduate levels in the area of developmental speech and language disorders. This can be in the form of the degree programme for Speech and Language Pathology, as well as in freestanding courses. In addition, duties include serving as a supervisor on the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in the subject area. The position also includes serving as course coordinator, engaging in course planning, performing administrative tasks and keeping up with developments in the field. The project assistant will contribute to three ongoing research projects within the Division of Marine Technology. These projects are conducted in close collaboration with industrial partners specialising in the development of umbilical cables, mooring systems, and installation solutions for floating renewable energy devices. Two of the projects focus on the structural integrity of highly dynamic power cables. A central challenge is to design cables that can withstand complex mechanical loading while ensuring reliable power transmission over extended service lifetimes, without the need for maintenance or replacement. The third project centres on the development of an advanced lifetime engineering simulation framework, integrating lifecycle assessment (LCA), lifecycle cost (LCC), and lifecycle performance (LCP). As the LCP module is currently under development, the project assistant will play a key role in its completion. The framework will also be extended to include power cables. Input to the LCP module will be provided by partners in an EU-funded project. The module will be developed in MATLAB and integrated with the existing LCA and LCC components. Prepare and submit at least one conference paper and one journal article. Project description As underground mining operations at LKAB continue to greater depths, the rock mass is subjected to increasingly high in-situ stresses and dynamic disturbances, leading to elevated risks of seismic events and rockburst damage. There is therefore a growing need for improved understanding of ground support performance under both static and dynamic loading conditions. This project aims to develop a mechanism-based and site-adapted framework for ground support design, focusing on energy absorption, deformation capacity, and system-level behaviour. The research will integrate laboratory testing, numerical modelling, and field observations from deep underground mines. The expected outcomes include improved understanding of support performance, development of evaluation methodologies, and optimized support system design tailored to LKAB’s mining conditions. Duties As a PhD student, you will conduct both field data analysis and numerical research within the project.
