Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine greasing of bearings and execute periodic shaft rotations (turning) to prevent equipment degradation. Climate Management: Monitor and implement heating solutions for specific machinery components as required by technical specifications. Inventory & Documentation: Keep accurate records of all preservation activities and periodic maintenance cycles. Desirable qualifications (not mandatory) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial preservation. CCB is recruiting a [full-time] Project Coordinator to play an important administrative role in implementing the EU LIFE QuietWaters Project (Towards regionally coordinated actions to reduce underwater noise emissions from existing and future recreational crafts in the Baltic Sea), for the period 1 September 2026 - 31 August 2030. QuietWaters aims to address the reduction of underwater noise pollution from existing and future recreational crafts in the Baltic Sea. What you'll do: As a member of the CMS Safety Office, you will participate in all safety-related activities at the CMS experimental sites during the Long Shutdown 3, when both the detector and the infrastructure will undergo major upgrades. In particular, you will take a leading role in the technical review of all CMS fire extinguishing systems and safety monitoring systems to assess their design, coverage and suitability for the CMS upgrade. You will contribute to the review, testing, and commissioning of the CMS Alarm Action Matrix in collaboration with all the relevant stakeholders, as well as organise regular reviews of the systems and activities and guide risk assessments for the collaboration's teams.
