10% of Europe’s CO₂ emissions are caused by residential heating and energy bills are out of control. Aira is here to change that. With our intelligent Aira Heat Pump at the heart, we’re making the switch to clean energy-tech easier and more affordable. Helping Europe turn off gas and slashing energy costs one home at a time. Founded in 2022, and with 1200+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, and HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034. About the Growth Marketing team: The Growth Marketing team is part of the Commercial Area of Aira, which is responsible for turning interest in clean energy and lower bills into installed homes. The team owns everything from brand awareness and lead generation to sales enablement and customer conversion across all our markets. Our team sits right in the middle of this, with a critical mission: turn every lead into a warm, well-informed prospect by getting the right message to the right person at the right time and making sure no opportunity is lost to poor data, clunky handoffs, or disconnected systems. About the role We're looking for a Marketing Automation and CRM Specialist to own and optimise Aira’s lifecycle marketing in HubSpot, building emails, workflows, segments, and automations that nurture homeowners from first click to signed contract. You'll collaborate with Growth Marketing, Sales, and Data teams across our European markets. You'll have hands-on ownership of marketing automations and campaigns, working within the platform standards set by our CRM Admin, who oversees the overall HubSpot setup, data model, integrations, and sales and installation processes. Key responsibilities * Own and continuously optimise Aira’s lifecycle marketing in HubSpot, including marketing emails, lead nurturing workflows, lead scoring and audience segmentation, with a focus on conversion, upsell and lower CAC. * Design, build, and test automated multi-channel journeys (email, SMS, in-app) that nurture leads through the funnel and improve conversion. * Manage referral and loyalty programs to expand our customer lead generation and decrease our customer acquisition cost. * Manage and optimise audience segmentation and personalisation to ensure the right message reaches the right homeowner at the right stage. * Partner with Sales teams across markets to ensure smooth, well-timed handoffs of leads between marketing and sales. * Maintain data quality, hygiene, and GDPR-compliant processes across the CRM and connected systems, working within established data standards. * Monitor, report on, and analyse email campaigns and funnel performance, turning insights into concrete optimisation recommendations. * Run A/B and multivariate tests to continuously improve automation flows, messaging, and conversion rates. * Collaborate with Growth Marketing, Product, and local market teams to roll out and localise campaigns across the UK, Germany, Italy, and beyond. We expect you to have: * A few years of experience in marketing automation, CRM management, or lifecycle/CRM marketing. * Hands-on HubSpot experience, ideally Marketing Hub Enterprise: building workflows, lists and lead scoring yourself, not only briefing someone else to do it. * Hands-on experience with a major marketing automation or CRM platform (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar). * Strong understanding of lead scoring, segmentation, and multi-channel lifecycle campaign design. * A data-driven mindset, comfortable working with dashboards, funnel metrics, campaign analytics, and attribution modelling. * Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and/or Growth teams. * Solid understanding of GDPR and data privacy best practices in a marketing context. * Excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in process optimisation. * Fluent written and spoken English. It would be a bonus if you: * Have experience working across multiple European markets or localising campaigns for different languages and cultures. * Have basic SQL and programming skills or experience working with data/BI tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI). * Have worked in a scale-up, high-growth, high-volume lead-gen, or agency environment. * Have experience in the clean energy, home improvement, or high-consideration purchase industries. * Speak an additional European language (e.g. German, Italian). What is in it for you?: * Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing scale-up, with a supportive and inclusive culture, and career advancement opportunities. * Collaborate with diverse teams across international markets and launch products globally. * Develop and grow personally and professionally in an entrepreneurial-minded environment. * Thrive in a dynamic, solution-oriented culture, tackling challenges and driving meaningful solutions that make a positive impact on the world. * Influence the company's success, with a visible impact on product development and market growth. * Enjoy our brand-new office at Norra Stationsgatan 93 in Stockholm. Conveniently located near public transport, with Sankt Eriksplan and Odenplan stations just a few minutes walk away. At Aira, we champion next-generation energy as well as diversity and inclusion. We firmly believe that a diverse workforce fosters innovation and creativity, enhancing our ability to serve customers and communities effectively. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, cultures and perspectives to join our team. Our commitment is to uphold equality and inclusivity, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to a better future for our people and the planet.

With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, and HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034. About the role We are looking for back-end engineers to join our product teams in Stockholm. Rather than hiring for one specific seat, we are hiring for the group. We have several small, autonomous product teams working on the customer acquisition journey, each built around four developers, a designer and a product manager, and we would rather find the right people first and work out the best fit together. The teams you could join: Planning builds the tooling that schedules Aira's field force across the whole customer journey, from booking sales visits to heat pump installations and maintenance. This is where the hardest optimisation problems live: travel times, route optimisation, partial assignments, and mixing internal and subcontractor capacity as we scale into new regions. Survey & Design owns the steps where we capture data about a customer's home and turn it into a tailored, carbon neutral energy solution. The domain spans 3D modelling, thermodynamics, electronics and logistics. There is real modelling work here, along with third party integrations that bring in geometric and climate data we have to transform into something our own model can use. Expansion takes the product into new markets and improves how customers convert. New market launches, pricing, conversion flows, solar PV output modelling, and the next generation of our heat pump product. Every new market brings its own rules, and the backend is where most of that lands. We will talk about which team fits you best during the process, and you will meet the team before anything is decided. Some of the things you can expect to work with in this role: * Design and build backend services that scale to our users all over Europe * Create well designed APIs that stand the test of time * Integrate with third party providers reliably and transform their data into a data model that fits our use case * Create feedback loops between the data we get from the thousands of installed heat pumps and our own tooling, making sure it gets better over time * Make sure our backend architecture scales gracefully with new product requirements and stays clean and approachable for both your teammates and your future self What you bring to the team: * Have around 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer * Feel comfortable writing Java code and using Spring Boot * Have a strong understanding of databases and domain driven design * Have experience building and documenting APIs * Can convert an idea into clean, testable, and scalable software services * Engage in team discussions and have a mindset to take responsibility * Have knowledge of microservices architecture Our teams are not all set up the same way. Some have dedicated front-end and back-end engineers, others are full-stack across the board. So there is a real home here for a backend specialist, and in the smaller teams there is always the possibility to dip your toes in the web frontend or even our apps if you want to. We will be straight with you about which team is which. Nice to have: * Experience at fast-growing companies * Experience with gRPC and tRPC * Kafka or Kotlin * Writing front-end code in React * Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or Terraform Our tech stack includes Java (Spring Boot), gRPC, Postgres, Kafka, TypeScript, React, NextJS, tRPC, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform. Skills and mindset go hand in hand. If you don't meet every requirement but bring a positive and motivated attitude, we'd love to hear from you! What is in it for you? * Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing scale-up, with a supportive and inclusive culture, and career advancement opportunities. Residential heating is one of Europe’s largest sources of CO₂ emissions, while energy prices remain unpredictable for many households. At Aira, we’re on a mission to change that. Founded in 2022 and now employing more than 800 people, we develop and install clean energy solutions—including heat pumps, solar panels, and battery systems—powered by intelligent technology that helps homes operate more efficiently. Our goal is simple: to help households reduce both their carbon footprint and their energy costs. With headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Poland, and hubs across the UK, Germany, and Italy, Aira is rapidly scaling to bring clean energy technology to 5 million homes by 2034. About the role In the Energy Optimization team, we build optimization and machine learning systems that help control when heat pumps run, when batteries charge or discharge, and when it makes sense to export energy to the grid. We are also building new flexibility capabilities by coordinating fleets of homes to support the grid when it matters most. We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join this product team. You’ll work on models and systems that turn messy real-world signals into reliable decisions for customers’ homes. This includes building and improving forecasting and optimization models, productionising them, monitoring their performance, and iterating based on real-world outcomes. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and other teams to ship customer-facing intelligence that is reliable, understandable, and valuable. We value clear communication, thoughtful collaboration, curiosity, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. If you enjoy turning ML models into production systems that create measurable customer impact, we would like to hear from you. What you’ll be doing * Build and improve ML and optimization models that power customer-facing energy optimization features. * Work on time-series forecasting, scheduling, and decision models for heat pumps, batteries, solar, tariffs, weather, and customer behaviour. * Productionise and own models end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, reliability, and iteration based on real-world outcomes. * Run experiments on real customer systems, evaluate impact, and turn results into product decisions. * Contribute to initiatives from discovery to production impact, helping define success metrics and align with stakeholders. * Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, explaining trade-offs, uncertainty, model behaviour, and what is good enough to ship. What you’ll bring to the role * Experience building ML, data, or optimization systems that are used in real-world products. * Good programming skills in Python and software engineering fundamentals. * Experience taking models beyond notebooks, including evaluation, testing, deployment, or monitoring. * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. * Comfort working with real-world data, including ambiguity, imperfect signals, and changing requirements. * A pragmatic, product-oriented mindset: you care about measurable customer impact, not model complexity for its own sake. * Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in cross-functional teams. Bonus points if you have * Experience with energy systems, electricity markets, demand response, or flexibility. * Experience with constrained optimization, control systems, or physical systems modelling. What is in it for you? * Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing scale-up, with a supportive and inclusive culture, and career advancement opportunities.
