Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. Are you ready to accelerate your career at Elastic, the Search AI company? The Demand Manager owns pipeline health, growth, and motion for their territory within International General Business. This is a dual-responsibility role: part pipeline strategist, part execution lead. The Demand Manager diagnoses where pipeline is thin, ageing, or poorly qualified, and then personally runs the activities that fix it, from structural interlocks with Sales and Marketing to hands-on activation programs like blitz days and partner sprint weeks. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, and Partner teams. Success means the territory never operates on hope. Every quarter runs on a foundation of qualified pipeline, actionable data, and coordinated execution. We've built a collaborative workspace in Barcelona where teamwork, continuous learning, and career development are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that drive, curiosity, and coachability are the foundations of long-term success. If you're eager to learn, embrace feedback, and make an impact, we'd love to meet you. WHAT YOU WILL DO 1. Pipeline Health: Own the quality and integrity of the territory's pipeline. * Establish recurring interlocks with Sales Managers, Marketing, Sales Development, and Partner teams; agree quarterly priorities and success criteria early * Run quarterly deal clinics to unblock deal progression and requalify live pipeline against current product packaging * Anticipate coverage gaps 2-4 quarters ahead using velocity, intent, and conversion data, rather than reacting once a gap is visible * Audit the marketing-to-sales handoff continuously; identify friction points and refine the process to maximize Stage 0 → Stage 1 conversion * Meet regularly with SDR/Sales managers to distinguish low-quality leads from low-quality outreach, and adjust targeting or talk tracks accordingly * Monitor channel mix each quarter; flag net-new logo opportunities in later stages that lack partner involvement and offer partner engagement support * Actively reduce stalled and untouched opportunities through coordination with Sales, Marketing, and the SDR teams * Reinforce data privacy and protection compliance across all pipeline and campaign activity 2. Pipeline Growth: Steer planning and marketing investment into qualified demand. * Treat the sales planning system as the single source of truth for territory planning; encourage use of account planning and whitespace tools * Align with Marketing and Product Marketing so sales plays are relevant and accessible for General Business, and translate core product value propositions (Search, Observability, Security) into simple, high-impact outbound scripts * Operationalize the marketing mix: turn field events, webinars, and channel activities into ready-to-call plays complete with follow-up sequences, target lists, and talk tracks, not just a heads-up that something happened * Use intent and signal data to identify high-intent accounts and direct targeted outreach to priority accounts * Act as execution lead for co-selling campaigns with strategic cloud partners (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), designing joint activation programs and integrating partner-sourced leads into the outbound rhythm * Design, launch, and personally lead high-energy activation programs (blitz days, call-out days, sprint weeks), setting structure and incentives and coaching in real time * Build playbooks that scale winning tactics across other International hubs, and coach SDR/Sales teams on messaging, personalization, and call rhythm discipline 3. Pipeline Motion: Keep the pipeline moving at a healthy pace, and guide how it should move. * Hold leads awaiting action to a target of under 5 days; include ageing in regular territory reviews and drive rep-level enablement where it persists * Monitor slipped and discontinued/lost opportunities each quarter, tracking trends by value, volume, and solution area * Push for accurate, early qualification rather than late-stage clean-up * Prioritize discontinuation of opportunities ageing beyond 180 days or stalled/untouched for extended periods; discourage artificial forward movement that inflates coverage without substance * Ensure late-stage opportunities reflect correct channel engagement, and feed routing insights back to the Lead Routing forum monthly 4. Collaboration & Governance (The Influencer) * Cross-Functional Enablement: Build playbooks and templates that scale winning demand tactics across Intl hubs. * Sales Play Coaching: Guide SDR/ Sales teams on execution excellence through structured messaging, personalization, and call rhythm discipline. * Cultural Catalyst: Drive the "spirit of the hunt." You will be responsible for creating a culture of healthy competition and accountability, using incentives and gamification to keep energy levels high and results consistent. WHAT YOU BRING * Proven track record in a similar role with at least 4+ years of experience in that role * Strategic Storyteller: Connects top-of-funnel campaigns with bottom-line outcomes through data and narrative. You possess a mix of strategic thinking and "on-the-floor" energy. You can connect high-level campaigns with the daily grind of an SDR/Sales to drive bottom-line outcomes. * Data Fluent: Comfortable navigating metrics in Salesforce, Clari, or Tableau to identify the “why” behind the “what.” * Collaborative Authority: Influences cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines. * Customer-Driven Marketer: Crafts compelling messaging based on persona pain points and vertical plays. * Systems-Oriented: Experienced in Salesforce, Outreach, Demandbase, and other ABM tools. * Experimentation Mindset: Operates with a test-learn-scale approach to campaigns and sequences. * Persona-First Messaging: You can take a technical Elastic Core product update and simplify it into a "door-opening" talk track that speaks directly to C-level or practitioner pain * Blitz Mentality: You thrive in high-pressure, high-velocity environments and have a natural instinct for when to pivot a campaign based on real-time rejection or success. ABOUT TASKRABBIT: Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. At Taskrabbit, we want to transform lives one task at a time. As a company we celebrate innovation, inclusion and hard work. Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and fast-paced. We’re looking for talented, entrepreneurially minded and data-driven people who also have a passion for helping people do what they love. Together with IKEA, we’re creating more opportunities for people to earn a consistent, meaningful income on their own terms by building lasting relationships with clients in communities around the world. Taskrabbit is a hybrid company with employees distributed across the US and EU and a Built In — Best Places to Work (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) continually ranked across multiple national and regional categories. Join us at Taskrabbit, where your work will be meaningful, your ideas valued, and your potential unleashed! This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days in-office per week in our London office. About the Role Taskrabbit connects busy people in need of help with trusted local Taskers who can lend a hand with everything from home repairs to errands, with the goal of being the number one home services platform in the countries we serve. A Tasker gets paid to do what they love, when and where they want, all while saving the day for someone in their city. The Tasker Operations team owns the Tasker experience end-to-end — from the targeted, locally-executed programs that drive quality, pricing, and utilization outcomes, to the funnel metrics and cross-business partnerships (e.g., Marketing, IKEA) that connect Tasker-side actions to company outcomes. We proactively help Taskers before they realize they need support, with global and local approaches that result in higher quality, more retentive, and more satisfied Taskers. This drives a better client experience and supports our overall managed marketplace strategy. This is a highly visible, operationally-focused role and the primary owner of Tasker supply-demand balance in your region. You will own Tasker operations across a broad, complex Book of Business, set the strategy for supply health and supply-oriented fulfillment, and own the recommendation set that clients see in order to ensure high quality fulfillment. We’re looking for someone who is as energized by a live Tasker workshop as they are by an insightful dashboard — you don't just analyze the Tasker experience, you actively seek out time with them. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence by independently scoping and executing high-impact projects, owning measurable outcomes, and building scalable systems and tools (including AI-powered tooling and automation) that are adopted beyond your own region. You will be the face of Taskrabbit to Taskers in their market, a trusted advisor to your Regional Manager and Market Manager stakeholders, and seen as both a regional and functional expert across the organization. This is not a supervisory role. What You'll Do * Serve as the operational owner of Taskrabbit supply the UK, monitoring and reporting on performance and health metrics across your metros. Responsible for ensuring the quality of the recommendation set that clients see. Oversee supply lifecycles, programs, and communications to ensure a high-quality, continuous flow of Taskers and strong fulfillment. In partnership with Country or Regional management, set market strategy to drive invoices and revenue. * Use data to drive decisions: develop your own dashboards and analyses to inform strategies, plans, and tactical initiatives that you will develop; leverage data to surface problems worth escalating and either take action or successfully advocate for their prioritization with cross-functional partners. You will run experiments to drive impact in your region. * Develop and execute tactical plays (in-app/push communications, email, etc.) based on supply needs and market insights to drive supply alignment, behavior change, and growth. Own the resulting playbooks so wins scale beyond your own metros. * Coach and grow your Tasker base — primarily in group settings, in person, and live virtually — bringing real energy and presence to every engagement with Taskers so they leave more motivated than when they arrived. Ensure consistent and effective delivery of lifecycle programs and enablement content (e.g. workshops) that measurably improve funnel outcomes like fulfillment and quality. * Lead local community engagement (events, office hours, Tasker socials) and mentor peers on coaching techniques and community-building. * Partner with the Senior Supply Specialist to address supply gaps through targeted acquisition and onboarding. * Align your Taskers with broader Taskrabbit processes, standards, and tools, ensuring they understand and adhere to updated expectations as the platform evolves. * Serve as a product and process expert: influence roadmap priorities with Product, escalate and advocate for bug fixes, partner with Tasker Quality on reliability and compliance, and build automation or AI-powered tools to scale your own and the team's impact. * Build cross-functional relationships (Product, Analytics, Engineering, Customer Support, Partnerships, Marketing, Legal, Commercial Operations) to advocate for Taskers and drive outcomes, including consulting on partnership assessments and launches. * Take on strategic ownership beyond your core scope — leading regional or company-wide programs and acting as a force multiplier through special projects and knowledge-sharing with the global team. * Champion culture and values through leadership, and keep local operations aligned to evolving global standards and tools. * Travel up to 10% to attend team and metro-specific events. * Adapt to evolving business needs, taking on other duties as necessary. About You * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Fluent in English. * 6+ years in marketplace operations, program management, or customer success, with a track record of taking on progressively larger scope — owning multiple metros or a large Book of Business with measurable impact on supply health, retention, revenue, or quality. * Advanced, independent data user who builds their own analyses rather than just reading dashboards, with strong SQL/Sigma skills and a knack for uncovering issues others miss. * A seasoned strategist who builds, executes, and rigorously measures the impact of initiatives from start to finish. * A hands-on operator who rolls up their sleeves, is comfortable moving between strategy and execution to drive real outcomes, and is driven to find ways to automate, streamline, and build new tools (including AI tools) that accelerate impact. * Confident and highly effective communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and present to audiences of any size, virtually or in person. * Genuinely energized by talking with Taskers — you seek out the tough conversation or the packed room rather than avoiding it, and enjoy uncovering the story behind the data. * Naturally curious and resourceful, with a strong instinct to investigate problems from multiple angles and uncover root causes, and always on the lookout for smarter, more creative solutions that challenge the status quo. You don't wait for perfect data or perfect conditions to move; when a market is stuck, you find a scrappy way to get it unstuck. * Self-starter and low-ego collaborator, unflappable under ambiguity or change, who thrives in fast-moving, globally distributed teams. * Energized by the challenge of finding opportunities to grow your market faster and drive innovative solutions at scale. * Deeply customer-centric, organized, and detail-oriented. Nice to Have - Marketplace or gig-economy background. - Additional language fluency. Our Values We are guided by five core values: Be Bold, Own the Challenge, Win Together With Heart, Move Forward, Move Fast, and Obsess Over Clients and Taskers. These principles shape every decision we make, fueling experimentation, ownership, empathetic collaboration, rapid iteration, and an unwavering focus on delivering exceptional experiences for both clients and Taskers. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks. The base pay range for this position is £50,000–£70,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level. Women make up half of our leadership team and our diversity representation is above that of the tech industry average. * The Perks. Taskrabbit offers our employees with employer-paid health insurance and a 401k match with immediate vesting for our US based employees. We offer all of our global employees generous and flexible time off with 2 company-wide closure weeks, Taskrabbit product stipends, wellness + productivity + education stipends, IKEA discounts, reproductive health support, and more. STAFF FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER, AGENTIC SDLC - (EMEA ONLY) AN OVERVIEW OF THIS ROLE GitLab’s Forward Deployed Engineering team is a field-situated product engineering function focused on strategic customer outcomes, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and direct contributions to GitLab’s product. This isn't a traditional field engineering, solutions architecture, or professional services role. As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work closely with customers while maintaining the technical standards and contribution discipline of a Staff-level product engineer. You'll work where strategic customer urgency, complex technical ambiguity, and GitLab product execution intersect. You'll partner directly with strategic customers and teams across Product, Engineering, Support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Solutions Architecture (SA), Customer Success Architecture (CSA), Customer Success Management (CSM), and Professional Services. You'll diagnose and resolve high-impact adoption blockers, contribute production-quality fixes and features, and turn what you learn into repeatable patterns for GitLab and its customers. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS Strategic customers sometimes encounter challenges that are too broad, deep, urgent, or cross-functional for any single team to own from start to finish. These challenges may involve product gaps, performance degradation, scale bottlenecks, AI governance, adoption blockers, architectural constraints, Git usage patterns, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) complexity, application programming interface (API) automation, security requirements, or operational instability. Forward Deployed Engineering provides technical stewardship in these moments. The team doesn't simply observe, report, or escalate. You'll engage directly, diagnose the underlying technical problem, collaborate with the right teams, contribute code or technical solutions where appropriate, and transition the outcome into normal ownership once the customer is stable and the learning can be reused. WHAT YOU’LL DO PRODUCT CONTRIBUTION * Contribute production-quality code to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems. * Develop bug fixes, features, integrations, tooling, and performance improvements when strategic customer outcomes require direct engineering work. * Work within GitLab’s product and engineering processes, including issue discovery, merge request creation, testing, review, documentation, and maintainability. * Partner with Product and Engineering so customer-driven solutions support long-term product direction rather than becoming one-off customizations. * Turn blockers discovered in the field into durable product improvements, reference architectures, documentation, and repeatable implementation patterns. STRATEGIC TECHNICAL STEWARDSHIP * Engage with strategically important customers when adoption, retention, executive confidence, or public trust is materially at risk. * Diagnose complex problems across GitLab product behavior, customer architecture, Git internals, CI/CD workflows, API usage, observability, infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments. * Coordinate across Product, Engineering, SRE, Support, SA, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and customer technical teams to drive resolution from discovery through handoff. * Provide recommendations grounded in data, traces, and systems analysis to improve GitLab usage, workflows, automation, and architecture. * Create durable outcomes without establishing permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering. AI ADOPTION AND AGENTIC SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE * Drive governed, measurable, and production-oriented adoption of GitLab Duo Agent Platform with strategic customers. * Identify and resolve AI adoption blockers involving governance, usage controls, auditability, security, compliance, operating models, workflow design, and integrations. * Develop customer-safe adoption patterns for the agentic software development lifecycle (SDLC), AI-assisted development, intent-based review, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop software delivery. * Partner with Product, Engineering, Field, and Customer Success teams to turn AI adoption learning into reusable guidance and product improvements. THOUGHT LEADERSHIP * Create technical narratives grounded in customer experience and product reality that can help shape the industry’s approach. * Contribute to Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, reference architectures, technical strategy memos, and adoption frameworks. * Guide ideas through discovery, formulation, validation, amplification, and adoption across GitLab. * Partner with SA, CSA, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing Management, CSM, Support, and executive stakeholders to make technical thought leadership a shared company capability. WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Staff-level experience building, operating, or improving complex production software systems. * Experience contributing to large, mature product codebases with high standards for testing, maintainability, performance, and security. * Strong Ruby on Rails or Go experience and the ability to contribute directly to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems. * Experience with AI-assisted software development, agentic workflows, AI governance, model evaluation, context management, prompt and workflow design, or AI adoption in enterprise environments. * Experience diagnosing complex system behavior across application code, data stores, infrastructure, observability, networking, APIs, and customer usage patterns. * Deep knowledge of modern DevSecOps workflows, including Git, merge requests, CI/CD, security controls, compliance needs, and enterprise software delivery. * Experience working with strategic customers or senior technical stakeholders in ambiguous, high-impact situations. * The ability to coordinate across product, engineering, field, and customer teams without formal authority. * Strong written communication and sound judgment, including the ability to create technical narratives and distinguish reusable product work from customer-specific customization. STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Direct experience with GitLab as a platform, including GitLab.com, GitLab Dedicated, or GitLab Self-Managed. * Production experience with Ruby on Rails, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Vue, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, or observability tools. * Deep familiarity with Git internals, repository performance, large-scale Git usage patterns, or GitLab Runner behavior. * Experience creating technical thought-leadership materials, such as whitepapers, technical talks, architecture frameworks, requests for comments, public technical writing, or internal strategy documents. * A background in performance engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or distributed systems. * Experience working in open source or highly asynchronous engineering environments. TECHNOLOGIES AND DOMAINS Directly relevant technologies and domains include: * Ruby on Rails * Go * AI-assisted development and the agentic SDLC * PostgreSQL * Redis and Sidekiq * Git internals * GitLab CI/CD and Runner architecture * Kubernetes and containers * Terraform * Linux, networking, observability, and performance analysis * Vue and TypeScript * APIs and automation * DevSecOps governance, security, and compliance WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT This role isn't: * A generic field engineering role. * A proof-of-concept factory. * A replacement for Solutions Architecture, Customer Success Architecture, Customer Success Management, Professional Services, Support, SRE, Product, or Engineering. * A customer-specific customization function. * Unbilled Professional Services. * A requirements-gathering role that only escalates to Product. * An AI evangelism role disconnected from product execution. SUCCESS MEASURES Success in this role may include: * Stabilizing strategic customer adoption or retention risks. * Fixing product bugs or contributing features. * Removing AI adoption blockers for strategic accounts. * Creating reusable implementation patterns and transitioning them to long-term owners. * Producing or enabling Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, or technical narratives. * Resolving cross-functional customer challenges without creating permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering. * Equipping Product, Engineering, Support, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and SA teams with better guidance based on learning from the field. * Increasing adoption and effective use of GitLab capabilities, especially GitLab Duo and GitLab Duo Agent Platform, in targeted accounts. ABOUT THE TEAM The Forward Deployed Engineering team connects strategic customer needs with GitLab product execution. The team works directly with customers and across GitLab to resolve complex adoption challenges, contribute durable product improvements, and create reusable technical guidance. Its goal is to stabilize urgent situations, improve the product, and transition ongoing ownership to the appropriate team rather than create a permanent dependency. You're comfortable reading traces, writing production code, debugging architecture, discussing AI governance, leading a customer technical session, opening a merge request, outlining a whitepaper, and coordinating across teams to achieve a strategic customer outcome. You're not simply a strong communicator with technical awareness. You're a credible engineer with the judgment, presence, and narrative ability to turn customer reality into product contributions, adoption guidance, and company-level thought leadership.
