📍 Oslo / Bergen / Bodø / Remote 💰 Salary: 1.150.000 - 1.300.000 NOK/year 🌍 WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Healthcare professionals need timely access to information to deliver good care. Patients need to trust that their information is protected. At Aidn, we’re building digital healthcare services that make both possible. Team IAM builds the identity and access management foundations used across Aidn. From signing in and managing users to deciding who can access patient information and recording how it is used, the team’s work shapes the everyday experience of healthcare professionals and municipal system administrators. As Product Manager, you’ll set direction for this product area and help make secure, compliant access understandable and easy to use. You’ll work on difficult questions with real consequences: How do we protect patient privacy while supporting care? How can municipalities manage access confidently? And how should access work when AI agents act on behalf of users? 🔧 WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON You’ll own the IAM product direction and roadmap, working closely with a Service Designer and Tech Lead in a product trio. Together, you’ll discover the right problems to solve, test ideas and follow their impact through to everyday use. Your work will include: * Understanding customers and users. Spend time with municipal decision-makers, system administrators and healthcare professionals to understand their different needs, workflows and constraints. * Setting clear priorities. Turn discovery, company goals, regulatory requirements and technical realities into a coherent roadmap across authentication, authorization, user lifecycle, provisioning, organization management and access logging. * Making complexity usable. Help municipalities manage users and access with greater confidence and independence, while enabling healthcare professionals to reach the information they need. * Building and learning with AI. Create working prototypes to test assumptions, use AI in research and analysis, and help the team adopt effective practices while protecting sensitive information. * Connecting teams and requirements. Work with product teams, Platform, security and regulatory specialists to clarify ownership, coordinate dependencies and translate complex requirements into product decisions. * Owning outcomes after launch. Define success measures before delivery, follow up on rollout and use product data and user feedback to keep improving. You’ll also support municipal implementations and contribute IAM expertise to tender responses. Current challenges include relationship-based access to patient records using OpenFGA, detecting potential misuse through audit logs, and developing access controls and audit trails for AI agents. 🤝 WHO YOU ARE You enjoy getting to the heart of complex problems and making them understandable to others. You’re curious, pragmatic and comfortable making decisions when the answer isn’t obvious. You raise risks and disagreements early, listen carefully and change direction when the evidence calls for it. You bring: * Product management experience in a technical product area with at least 3–5 years of ownership spanning discovery, prioritization, delivery, rollout and iteration. We welcome candidates at different levels of seniority. * Working knowledge of identity and access management, including authentication, authorization, access-control models, single sign-on, user lifecycle, provisioning and auditability. * Hands-on customer and user discovery experience, with the ability to uncover the underlying need behind a requested solution. * Experience defining meaningful outcomes and using qualitative and quantitative evidence to improve products after launch. * Practical experience using AI in everyday product work, including building working prototypes and helping others adopt useful approaches. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align customers, engineers, designers and specialists around priorities and trade-offs. * Fluent Norwegian for research and testing with municipal users, and professional English for internal collaboration. It’s a plus if you have: * Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment. * Familiarity with Norwegian healthcare requirements, such as Normen, pasientjournalloven or HelseID guidance. * Deeper knowledge of APIs, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, Entra ID, SCIM or access-control architecture. * Experience with multi-tenant products, public-sector customers, municipal onboarding or tenders. You’ll need enough technical understanding to explore solutions and make sound product decisions with engineers. Writing production code is not part of the role. 👋 YOUR TEAM Team IAM is a cross-functional team in Aidn’s Platform domain, with colleagues in Oslo, Trondheim and Bodø. You’ll work with a shared Service Designer, a Tech Lead and engineers specializing in backend and full-stack development. In the product trio, you’ll take responsibility for customer value and business viability, alongside your design and engineering partners. Together, you’ll shape shared foundations that every Aidn product area depends on. 💬 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE In 3 months, you understand the main IAM services, user needs and regulatory context. You’ve built relationships with your team and municipal and internal stakeholders, and your discovery work is helping shape priorities. In 6 months, you’ve established a clear product direction and helped launch or improve a capability with measurable user impact. You’re using AI prototypes to test assumptions, and important cross-team dependencies have clear ownership. In 12 months, discovery, measurement and learning after launch are established parts of how the team works. The IAM roadmap is understood across teams and balances customer needs, company goals, regulation and technical sustainability. 💙 WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE Meaningful impact. Help protect patient privacy and give healthcare professionals access to information that supports better care. High trust, real ownership. Join an empowered team with the freedom to explore difficult problems and responsibility for the results. Room to grow. Build deep expertise in healthcare identity and access management, influence product decisions across Aidn and help shape emerging areas such as access for AI agents. 🎁 PERKS AND BENEFITS * 6 weeks of vacation * Flexible working hours and location * Health & wellness benefit * Employee shares * Pension, insurance and full pay during parental leave * A collaborative, ambitious and caring team 👀 INTERESTED? We don’t ask for cover letters. Just upload your CV or share your LinkedIn profile, and tell us what sparked your interest in the role. Location: Oslo, Bergen, anywhere in Norway Salary: 850-980k NOK/year FULLSTACK ENGINEER Help us create the software platform that will change Norwegian healthcare forever. THE MISSION We're building the healthcare platform all Norwegians deserve — an integrated set of services that lets institutions, clinicians, social workers, and citizens collaborate as a single team. We want every person in Norway to enjoy the longest, happiest life possible. That means improving the everyday lives of healthcare workers, giving patients more control, and maybe saving a few lives along the way. It doesn't get more meaningful than that. THE TEAMS Team Patient Crafts Mitt Aidn — our portal and mobile application serving as the daily digital doorway connecting citizens, families, and municipal care providers. The problems the team is working on right now: * Rolling out a consumer-facing native app with biometric login and instant push notifications, transforming standard web access into an essential daily companion. * Crafting fine-grained consent models that balance parental rights for minors with automated confidentiality protections for teenagers. * Replacing paper-heavy processes by converting legacy paper authorizations into streamlined mobile sign-offs. Team Case Handling Empowering municipal caseworkers with a unified toolkit to navigate the entire lifecycle of care management — from initial intake and smart dispatch, through tailored service decisions and ongoing follow-up, all the way to secure archiving. The problems the team is working on right now: * Giving case handlers a single, role-aware view — patient overview, tasks, care plans, notifications and search across all departments. * Building a way to route incoming applications and messages to the right case handler based on workload, competence and location * Piloting AI-assisted case handling to improve decision quality and save caseworkers time — laying the groundwork for broader adoption in 2027. Team Collaboration Focuses on planning and optimisation — an area defined by complex algorithms, dense data, and a genuine obsession with giving health workers the best possible conditions to do their jobs. The problems we're working on right now: * How do we manage home services staff, competencies, and schedules without a robust workforce system integration? * How do we organise and execute treatment plans collaboratively across different disciplines of care? * How do we build route plans that account for variable-length visits, driver skills, and multi-driver coordination — not just geography? * Can our solver run fast enough to keep planners in the loop, rather than disappearing for 10 minutes in the background? * Can lessons from home services routing apply to institutional ward planning? THE ROLE You'll work in a small, cross-functional team alongside product managers and designers, with the freedom to make real decisions. Your core responsibilities: * Design and implement end-to-end features that solve real clinical planning problems * Keep backend services and frontend applications well-aligned * Refactor confidently as you learn from users and peers * Help define best practices that actually work for your team * Own operational support for the services you build Building great software requires experienced technologists with the right mindset. It is a continuous, iterative process of listening, learning, and steady improvement. We need people who can do more than just write code. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We hire for mindset first. The right attitude — curiosity, ownership, a collaborative spirit — matters more to us than ticking every box on the stack. That said, you'll thrive here if you have: * Experience building greenfield SaaS products as a fullstack engineer * The ability to weigh trade-offs and make sound architectural decisions * Strong communication — you can articulate ideas and the reasoning behind them * Experience in product-led startups with autonomous, cross-functional teams * A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership On the tech stack: Our core is PostgreSQL, C# .NET, and React / Next.js + TypeScript. You don't need to know all of it — but you should be comfortable working across the stack and confident picking up what you don't already know. Experience in adjacent technologies is genuinely fine; we care more about how you think than what you've used. A passion for healthcare is a bonus. Understanding the weight of the problem helps. If that sounds like you, Aidn might be just what you’re looking for. To achieve our ambitions, product teams must have freedom to take decisions and demonstrate initiative as the company continues to grow. By joining in this early stage, you can have a huge impact on how our products are designed and implemented. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE We believe clarity helps everyone thrive. Here’s what success could look like in this role: In 3 months: * You’ve gotten to know our platform, our teams, and our priorities—and built trust with key stakeholders. * You’ve shipped small but impactful functionality to production and can see its impact and usage through our metrics. * You’re participating in team discussions, asking for help and questions, and helping us see things we might miss. In 6 months: * You’re a go-to person for questions related to what you have built and a dependable force in our delivery process. * You’ve taken ownership of a piece of your domain—maybe a new feature, a shared service, or even a new subdomain. * You’ve helped improve how we work—whether through automation, documentation, or nudging us toward better defaults. In 12 months: * You’re assisting initiatives that improve user experience, resilience, scale, and developer experience across the company. * You’ve helped embed best practices across product teams, improved developer experience, and reduced friction on behalf of our users. * You’ve become a voice in product and technology strategy—helping shape not just how we work, but what we work on. WHAT YOU GET * Competitive salary + employee shares * 6 weeks vacation * Flexible hours and location — work from home, or occasionally abroad is totally fine and flexible, however some teams are co-located in Oslo and Bergen, and would love to see you at the office regularly * A direct line to professional managers invested in your personal growth * Early-stage influence on how our products are designed and built Aidn is part of the Kernel cooperation, where we build technology for the next generation of welfare societies. With financial backing in order, we are privileged to be a fully autonomous startup busy building our company from the ground up the way we see fit.
