YOUR ROLE As a Senior Technology Consultant, you’ll operate at the intersection of technology, leadership, and digital entertainment, helping our clients build exceptional products while also shaping Dashy as a company. This means: * Providing technical leadership to teams across all stages of development, from early prototyping to full-scale production and live operations. * Shaping technical strategy and architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client goals. * Driving engineering best practices, including code quality, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization. * Growing and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. * Balancing multiple responsibilities, delivering high-impact work at our clients while also contributing to Dashy’s growth. * Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from hands-on engineers to business executives, bridging technical and strategic discussions. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re seeking an experienced and adaptable technology leader with a strong consulting mindset. You likely have: * 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on game or interactive media technologies. * 3+ years in a leadership role (Tech Lead, Tech Director, or similar), with hands-on experience guiding engineering teams, driving technical strategies, and ensuring timely delivery. * A strong technical foundation, with expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks. * Proven experience across the full development lifecycle, from prototyping to production, shipping and live operations of digital products, ideally in games or interactive experiences. * Deep understanding of backend and client-side development, including networking, performance optimization, and scalable architecture. * Experience mentoring and growing engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture. * A passion for digital entertainment, aligning with our mission to create experiences that matter. As a Backend Developer at Dashy: * Dive deep into the world of digital entertainment, designing, developing and iterating on systems and features. * Collaborate with a vibrant cross-functional team, including developers, designers, producers, product managers, and more. * Support other colleagues in their growth and with their challenges. * Help build and grow Dashy. We're looking for: * 3-7 years of experience as a Backend Developer. * Strong experience with backend services using languages such as Java/Spring, Golang, Python, C#/.NET, or JavaScript/TypeScript (NestJS, Express). * Solid understanding of database systems, data modeling, and query optimization. * Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or RPC APIs. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including serverless architectures, IAM, and cloud databases. * Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. * Knowledge of common engineering practices such as CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing. * Experience in AI-enhanced workflows (e.g. Claude, Co-Pilot, ChatGPT etc). * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment. * A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Passion for continuous learning and mentoring others. * Genuine interest in games, music, and interactive media. We're looking for: * 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer. * Backend experience with Java, C#, Kotlin, Golang or similar languages. * Strong React skills, plus comfort picking up other frontend frameworks. * Solid grasp of RESTful and/or RPC API design. * Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Strong engineering fundamentals - clean code, testing, and thoughtful system design. * Clear, confident communicator who collaborates easily across disciplines. * Curious by nature - always exploring new tools, languages, and ways of working. * Genuine excitement for games, music, and/or interactive media. * You enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teammates grow. * You use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and validate outputs with sound engineering judgment.
