Now, we are looking for a commercial and proactive Director of Sales for our Resort Division. Purpose of the role In this role, you will be the engine behind our strategic sales execution. You will combine strategic sales leadership with a genuine desire for the craft of sales. You will challenge, coach, and inspire our local sales teams while personally building key client relationships and navigating the changes in the distribution and sales landscape. The role must also be a good communicator who can inspire, while having the detailed knowledge to carry out strategies in practice. Desired profile We are looking for a commercial and independent sales leader who has: • A large Nordic network within key accounts, event agencies, conferences, and MICE. • Experience as a Key Account Manager or from central sales, preferably at Strawberry or a similar hotel group. • A documented ability to establish large central and Nordic customer agreements. • Strong skills in sales leadership, coaching, and performance follow-up. • Experience with pipeline management, activity management, and sales analysis. • Basic experience with international sales and relevant trade fairs and meeting places. • The ability to work independently while building good relationships with central sales and profit environments. • A base in Oslo or Stockholm and a high willingness to travel. Key responsibilities • Drive new Nordic key accounts, MICE agreements, and partnerships with event agencies. • Be the first point of contact for the VP of Operations and hotel general managers on sales-related matters. • Coach and challenge the hotels’ sales managers and GMs. • Translate the overall sales strategy into concrete plans for each hotel. • Set activity requirements per hotel, market, and customer segment. • Follow up on pipeline, conversion, customer activity, and results. • Identify which hotels need extra sales support, and take part operationally where necessary. • Lead monthly sales meetings with the GMs and the VP of Operations. • Ensure good coordination with Strawberry’s central sales cluster and other commercial teams. • Represent the portfolio at relevant Nordic and international sales arenas. The role should be measured on • Number of qualified leads and development of the pipeline. • New central and Nordic customer agreements. • Conversion rate and realized revenue. • MICE and conference production per hotel. • Sales activity and customer meetings per hotel and segment. • Development of the hotels’ local sales organizations. • The ability to move business across the entire Resort portfolio. This is meant to be an operational resource, not just a strategic support function. The role will both create new business directly and lift the sales work out at the hotels.
