The Opportunity The High-Power Laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 as an independent testing station and is a member of SATS Certification and STL (Short-circuit Testing Liaison) and we are one of the few unique High-Power Laboratories in the world. The Laboratory is a large test facility for high voltage products with a variety of non-routine electrical and mechanical test procedures. Its main purpose is to perform high quality testing, both in the development of new products, and in certification of the products for the global market. The clients to the Lab come from both Hitachi global organization and external Hitachi companies. Being a part of the Maintenance Team at the High-Power Laboratory is an important and interesting challenge and a key role to keep the Laboratory operation at the forefront. The team, that consists of approx. 5 persons, handles the maintenance support of the full Laboratory plant. The maintenance was insourced 1 Jan 2025 and is currently in a development stage with new system etc. Responsibilities also in new projects and installations, as well as decommissioning of old equipment. The role combines microfluidics integration, instrument prototyping, and Python-based automation. This is a permanent position based at our HQ, located at the campus of Stockholm University (Stockholm, Sweden). Gnothis, founded in 2015 and supported by highly innovative industrial professionals and technology developers, is on a mission to develop a new frontier for single molecule DNA sequencing; to break the mold on how sequencing is used as a clinical tool for the diagnosis of complex diseases. Gnothis technology integrates a wide range of cutting-edge sciences ranging from nanotechnology, photophysics, optics, surface chemistry, biochemistry and computational science. Since we have taken significant steps forward and now need to solve the remaining crucial challenges before commercialization; for the right person this is a unique opportunity to become a valuable member, to use your “think-outside-the box” mentality with aim to develop a new world-class technology platform! Our instrumentation, software and analysis team currently consists of four engineers and we are now expanding the team as we scale development of the system. The work is primarily on-site and very practical, involving both hardware integration and control software development. Initial Project The first major task will be to design and integrate a microfluidics subsystem into our existing microscope prototype – to plan, test, order and add already commercially available components to a final prototype. Job description and responsibilities We are expanding our Semiconductor Devices department and looking for a Cleanroom Process Technician to take ownership of the well-defined microfabrication process steps that bring our transistors to life. As our process technician, you will master these steps and run them consistently and with care, making you a central part of how our devices are actually made. You will spend much of your time in a modern cleanroom, operating advanced fabrication equipment according to established recipes, conducting routine measurements and inspections on wafers, and clearly documenting your findings for the engineering team.
