Role highlights: Flight Software Deployment Engineer Location: Warsaw, Poland/ Espoo, Finland Department: Flight Software Build & Release Team Reports to: Flight Software Build & Release Team Lead Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days in the office) Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) Why this role matters: The Build & Release team owns the path from source to flight-ready software across growing satellite constellations. This role exists because every artifact that reaches satellites in orbit must be reproducible, traceable, and verifiable. A bad update is not a simple rollback, it could mean a satellite becomes at risk. This is not a generic SRE or DevOps role, the production environment is composed of satellites flying 500 km above our heads, and the software artifacts are cross-compiled embedded binaries. The role is in the realm of half build engineering and half embedded Linux development, you need to be willing to work at both ends. Satellites are treated to OTA updates regularly which our team must make sure are built and deployed the right way, utilizing software development best practices. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities Hands on software engineering of our satellite on-board updating system, built to deploy software and firmware updates: features, maintenance, tests and documentation. Contribute to the build layer across the flight software domain, so every repository is built, versioned and packaged the same way. Enforce immutable releases and harden the packaging and signing pipelines: least-privilege permissions, pinned workflows and dependencies, approvals, and proper signing key management. Work with the Linux platform team on how updates land on the satellite on-board computers, covering packaging format, filesystem layout and access control, making sure what we build installs cleanly and safely. What we’re looking for Must haves: Embedded software engineering experience, with hands-on embedded Linux development: cross-compilation for ARM or similar targets, kernel configuration, device tree overlays, root filesystem and image construction. Production CI/CD experience for compiled artifacts, not only containers or web deployments. GitHub Actions specifically is required, and workflow hardening experience is valuable. Working proficiency in C and C++ build environments, and in Python and Bash for automation. Experience implementing release integrity controls, immutable artifacts storage. Signing key management, PKI and trust chains, AWS object-lock storage and cloud key management are all valuable here. Shipping software to embedded devices already in the field with a package-based update mechanism, ideally opkg, under controlled release processes, quality gates and formal sign-of Nice to haves: Command of CMake, including multi-repository setups, toolchain files, and shared build infrastructure that other teams consume. Buildroot experience is relevant here. Application Process Conversation with talent acquisition (~30 min). Screening with the hiring manager (~60 min). Technical test - take home task to be completed in 3 to 5 working days. Technical deep-dive (~90 min). On-site office visit & director interview (~60 min). Role highlights: Staff/Lead Product Designer, Design System Location: Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland Department: Product Management Reports to: Director of Product Design Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days / week in office) Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) Why this role matters: We don't have a design system. What we have is a set of products built fast, for users who needed the imagery yesterday, that share a brand without sharing much else. Buttons that quietly disagree with each other. Spacing as a matter of personal taste. Several defensible ways to build a table, none of them the same. Nobody was sloppy - this is what shipping under real pressure leaves behind, and the interest on it now comes out of every sprint. As a Staff / Lead Product Designer, you'll build the thing from nothing. That starts small and slightly unglamorous: a Figma library people actually reach for and a design playbook that settles the arguments worth settling. Then tokens with a structure that holds. Then components in code, documented well enough that nobody has to ask you how they work. By the time it's a design system in the full sense, the hardest part - people using it by default - is already solved, because you'll have built it in the open with the teams who had to adopt it. This is a hands-on, opinionated, sleeves-rolled-up role. You'll be the highest craft bar in the domain and the person who raises everyone else's. You'll spend as much time with frontend engineers as with designers, quite possibly in their repo. Real ownership. Very little existing process to inherit. If that sounds like a warning, it isn't. It's the job. Who We Are ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.. Your day-to-day responsibilities Start with a library and a playbook. Grow it into a system. Early on that means a Figma library, shared foundations and written guidance that gives teams a default instead of a decision. Later it means token architecture, components in code and documentation that scales past you. You'll decide the sequence, what's a token and what's a local decision, and where the line sits between flexibility and consistency. Those calls are yours to make, not to wait for. Co-design with frontend, in the code. Our engineers will build most of the components. You'll be in the conversation about props, state and composition, reading PRs and prototyping in a branch when that's the fastest way to prove a point. Figma is where you think, not where the system ends up living. Sell it. Repeatedly. A design system nobody adopts is a very tidy failure. You'll make the case to product managers, engineers and leadership, run office hours, and do migration work yourself when that's what unblocks a team. Set and hold the craft bar. Across the whole domain, at the pixel level, in public. Kind about people, uncompromising about the work. Put AI to actual work. Component documentation, variant generation, token maintenance, migration codemods, spec drafting. The tedious 60% of systems work is exactly what these tools are good at, and we want someone with strong instincts about which 60%. Stay accountable for what ships. Adoption, consistency, shipped UI quality, how quickly teams can build - not the size of your Figma library. Work across a big, networked organisation. Designers in other domains, brand and marketing design, sales engineers, customers. Consistency is a negotiation, not a mandate you email out. What we're looking for Must haves: You've done 0-to-1 before, somewhere messy. You've taken a design system from nothing to adopted, in an organisation that had neither and wasn't yet convinced it needed one. You know how the first six months actually go, which corners are safe to cut, and how to structure tokens so they survive the next product rather than getting quietly forked. You're fluent enough in code to be useful. Reading React and CSS, understanding component APIs, running the repo locally, opening a PR without ceremony. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to hold your end of a technical conversation and design things that are buildable as drawn. You can influence without authority. You'll spend real energy convincing people who have their own roadmaps and their own deadlines. Being right won't be enough and you know that already. Your craft is exceptional. Deep command of layout systems, typography, colour and visual hierarchy, applied in dense, complex professional interfaces. Detail-obsessed in the good way: the way that makes a whole product feel considered. You have a real point of view on AI in design work. Not a vibe, a practice. You've used these tools to accelerate documentation, generate and audit variants, maintain tokens, or migrate code, and you can tell us where they helped and where they made a confident mess. You've owned UX end-to-end for complex professional products. Discovery through shipped product through what you learned afterwards, with a portfolio that shows the systems thinking as well as the surfaces. Expert in Figma. Nice to haves: Accessibility as a default rather than an audit. Experience with theming, dark mode, or multi-brand systems. Data-dense, map-heavy or real-time interfaces. Public writing or open-source contribution on design systems. Time spent in high-stakes or regulated environments where getting it wrong is expensive. The disposition, which matters more than any of the above: outcome-driven thinking over perfect artifacts (design is what ships); curiosity about users, about design and technology trends and history, and about better ways of working; pragmatic product judgment, knowing when "good and shipped" beats "perfect but late"; clear communication and respectful collaboration. Role highlights: Senior/Staff Platform Observability Engineer Location: Espoo, Finland Department: Platform & Release Engineering Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Hybrid Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO,) Why this role matters: As a Platform Observability Engineer, you’ll make the health of ICEYE’s systems visible, actionable, and reliable. You’ll build and evolve the observability foundation across metrics, logs, and traces, helping teams detect issues early, understand failures faster, and operate their services with confidence. Your work will go beyond dashboards and alerts. You’ll reduce operational noise, eliminate blind spots, and give product teams the tools and autonomy to run reliable services. Who We Are ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities Own and continuously improve a unified, production-grade observability stack covering metrics, logs, and traces, giving every team a consistent, self-service way to understand and operate the health of their services. Build and maintain trusted alerting by tuning alerts against clear SLOs/SLIs, reducing noise, improving ownership and ensuring real issues surface early. Define, document, and drive adoption of instrumentation standards covering metric naming, label cardinality, structured logging, and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry. Enable product teams to diagnose and resolve incidents faster through well-designed dashboards, runbooks, hands-on support, and practical observability guidance. Run the observability platform like a product, owning its roadmap, interfaces, reliability, scalability, and cost across areas such as retention, sampling, and cardinality. Provide clear technical direction for observability across the engineering organisation, making pragmatic architectural trade-offs and helping teams adopt platform capabilities effectively. What we’re looking for Must haves: 1. Observability platform ownership at scale 6+ years in Platform Engineering, Observability, or infrastructure roles, with end-to-end ownership of a production observability stack (for example the LGTM stack - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir/Prometheus - or an equivalent metrics/logs/traces platform) at scale. Instrumentation & telemetry: OpenTelemetry adoption, metric and label design, structured logging, and distributed tracing across complex, multi-team systems. SLO/SLI & error budgets: dashboards and alerting that surface real problems early while minimizing noise and false positives. Platform as a product: treating other engineering teams as customers, with clear interfaces and a roadmap shaped by their needs. Alerting & reliability attitude: comfortable with on-call, driving blameless learning from incidents, and continuously tuning signal quality instead of letting alert fatigue set in. 2. Software engineering foundation A background that includes time spent writing and shipping production software, bringing engineering instincts to building tooling and automation rather than only operating what already exists. Proficiency in at least one backend language (for example Python or Go) for automation, tooling, and building internal observability capabilities. 3. Long-term ownership of your own decisions Demonstrated experience owning the long-term consequences of your own architectural and tooling decisions - having lived with what you built through its maintenance, upgrades, and failure modes, not just its initial rollout. 4. Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, able to explain complex system behavior clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to haves: 1. Platform & telemetry breadth Rancher, Istio, and Kubernetes-native observability patterns (service mesh telemetry, sidecars, eBPF-based tooling). Bridging hybrid environments across AWS and on-prem platforms such as vSphere/VxRail. Managing cost and cardinality on large-scale telemetry pipelines (retention policies, sampling, downsampling). 2. Practices that spread beyond your own team Defining SLO/SLI frameworks or observability standards adopted across multiple teams. Running or contributing to incident response and blameless postmortem processes. Mentoring engineers and raising engineering maturity through technical leadership and enablement. 3. Domain context Background in regulated, security-sensitive, or mission-critical domains. Role highlights: Brand Designer Location: Espoo Department: Brand & Design Reports to: Head of Brand & Design Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Hybrid, 3-days a week onsite Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) Why this role matters: You are a brand designer with genuine craft in the fundamentals: typography, layout, colour, and image. You apply and evolve a strong visual identity across everything from a printed brochure to a conference booth to a board-level presentation, and you care as much about the third slide of a sales deck as you do about the hero image. This is a hands-on production role in a small team with a heavy output. We run a demanding European and North American events calendar, we print a lot, and we build the systems and templates that let the rest of the company stay on brand without us. You will work directly with printers, production partners and external studios, and you will own work end to end rather than handing it off. Motion and 3D are useful here and we will happily use them if you have them, but they are not the job. If your portfolio is primarily a motion reel, this is not the right role for you. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities Brand identity in practice. Apply and evolve the ICEYE identity across every touchpoint, holding a consistent standard of typography, layout, colour and image treatment as the company grows into new markets and country entities. Presentation and document design. Decks and documents are among our highest-volume and highest-visibility outputs. Design them well, and build templates that colleagues actually want to use. Event and exhibition graphics. Booth design, signage, wayfinding, large-format print, stand branding, merchandise and giveaways for a busy international events programme. Print and production. Prepare artwork to specification and see it through with printers and production partners, from a 2-page leave-behind to a full wall graphic. Digital and social. Campaign assets, social visuals, digital advertising and web graphics. Brand systems and templates. Extend our collateral system so that design becomes templated, unified and increasingly self-service across the business. AI-augmented workflow. Use generative and agentic tools to speed up production and to build repeatable templates that scale beyond the design team. What we’re looking for Must haves: A portfolio led by brand and graphic design. Identity work, layout, typography, print, and presentation design. This is what we will look at first and what we will weight most heavily. Professional experience. 2+ years in a brand or graphic design role. Typography and layout craft. A strong, demonstrable eye. This is not negotiable in this role. Presentation design. You can make a complex deck clear, credible and good-looking under time pressure. Print production literacy. Comfortable with bleed, colour, stock and finishing, and confident briefing and reviewing proofs with a printer. Figma native , plus professional-grade Adobe skills across InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Working with partners. Comfortable briefing and reviewing work from external agencies, studios and vendors. A get-stuck-in attitude. A generalist mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are happy to contribute to any design task, whatever the medium. Language. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Nice to haves: Motion and video. Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro for social cutdowns, event loops and product sequences. 3D. Cinema 4D or Blender, and the ability to work with CAD files (STEP, IGES) for hardware visualisation. Data visualisation. Turning complex GIS and SAR data into clear, well-designed graphics. Brand asset management. Experience with Frontify or a comparable platform. Additional European languages , given our growing footprint across the region. Role highlights: Senior AI Engineer Location: Espoo, Finland Department: Engineering Reports to: Engineering Lead (Operations) Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Hybrid, 3 days a week at the office Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO) Why this role matters: As a Senior AI Engineer you’ll build the agentic tooling that changes how the Operations team works. You will make agentic AI real for the Operations team: the tooling, the workflows, and the infrastructure behind them. The starting point is an internal agent that already investigates production issues automatically and is being picked up by other domains, and from there you'll shape where agentic approaches genuinely earn their place in the team's work. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps. You will build the infrastructure this tooling needs to run reliably, partner directly with engineering teams on what to build next, and bring a grounded, forward-looking view of what agentic AI can realistically deliver, including preparing for a future move toward locally-hosted models and on-prem deployments. Role highlights: Senior Satellite Industrialization Engineer Location: Espoo, Finland Department: Industrialization Systems / Global Manufacturing Organization (GMO) Employment type: Permanent Workplace model: Office / Hybrid Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) Why this role matters: As a Senior Satellite Industrialization Engineer, you'll do the hands-on technical work that moves satellite designs toward industrial maturity (MRL 8-9). You'll contribute to the DFM/DFX design standard, act as a technical reviewer at design-review gates, and help define the production line, automation, and facility requirements behind them. Your depth in RF, optical, or broader satellite systems keeps that work grounded in what a real satellite design actually requires. Who We Are ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. Support the design-review gates your team is involved in: help define gate criteria and participate as a technical reviewer. Support the definition of industrialization requirements beyond the design standard: production line design requirements, automation requirements, and facility requirements for satellite and subsystem manufacturing. Work with Engineering, AIT, and Production teams to gather the input needed to define these requirements against real design and production constraints. Support coordination with ICEYE's Global Manufacturing Infrastructure team on the detail needed to implement line, automation, and facility requirements at each site. Build and maintain manufacturability and industrialization tooling: checklists, scorecards, and templates that design and production teams actually use. Help track the target metrics that satellite and subsystem designs are measured against as they move through MRL stages. Support the interface with the Manufacturing Engineering function, helping capture field and design friction and translate it into standard updates. What we’re looking for Must haves: Hands-on design or systems engineering background in satellite hardware, with depth in RF, optical, or broader satellite subsystems. Solid understanding of how design decisions affect manufacturability, tolerancing, integration, and test outcomes. Comfortable doing the technical work of building and maintaining standards, gate criteria, and tooling, under the direction of the function's lead. Experience working alongside Engineering, AIT, or Production teams to gather technical input. Strong communication skills, able to translate technical design detail into clear standard and tooling content. Nice to haves: Prior exposure to DFM/DFX practices, design-review gates, or producibility standards in aerospace or comparable hardware environments. Experience contributing to production line, automation, or facility requirements for hardware manufacturing. Familiarity with cleanroom environments and EGSE/MGSE.
